This is too confusing, upon the first description it would appear that we are in a different facility, waiting transport to the secret base. But the power failure was at their end, why would we have lights out?
And jumping to the point that the people have been saved cuts the main part of the exitement. There's no reason for the teams to split up anymore, there will only be a search for exit, and it's very unlikely that in a team of this size no one would know where we came from!

I got the impression that we had just found the scientist and collected everybody together, still in the underground lab. Now we just need to head to the exit.
And yeah, there's not that much reason to split up, but there's still plenty of suspense. It's a long, spooky walk in the dark with nothing but flares to cast moving shadows all over the place, with werewolves and vampires lurking around (among our own group as well as the ones from before). I picture the complex as "a maze of twisty passages, all alike." There will probably be stragglers in the group, and it wouldn't be very hard for something lurking in a side passage to grab someone.
Though I'm assuming there's not going to be a lynching right away, since no one's been killed yet and we have no reason to believe everyone in the group isn't human.

You are in the facility. You have all just found the scientists. You are in one group, attempting to leave the facility.
Sorry that the information was confusing. Could you PM me and point out where you got confused and I will edit it to make it sound better?
Also, I'm going to work this game as an ongoing narrative, kind of like the Muck Pond. So you can interact with the environment and I will try to accomodate your actions. Sort of the way Fleegle responds to actions in the Muck Pond thread.
By the way, Lumin's reaction to the story is correct. The facility is a literal maze of futuristic walkways, and you're all in the dark a mile below the earth's surface, underneath a city swarming with evil cultists and vampiric overlords, trying desperately to get above ground and signal the chopper. The story will move towards this point as the game progresses.

The set rules will stay the same, meaning that no one is eliminated from the game without a vote or being killed by a monster or hero.
The exact way in which people become eliminated may vary and may indeed use NPC extras... but the majority of the killing should and will come from your group of players.

You all have quite a hike to get out of here, and having the whole area go pitch black has not helped the group's sense of direction. Col. Farmer however has a copy of the facilities' blueprints, and the two scientists should be useful for navigating as well.]
I'm getting my info straight from the horse's mouth

Not that I know of.
Oh and to answer Pie's question: No. You're not the leader. You only outrank the privates.
To be honest, I was at first envisioning Pie's character having something akin to a chain-gun, like the one Jesse Ventura had in Predator. But the idea of him with a rocket launcher is just as funny.
