"Kikkik, are we in a safer area now that we are closer to Eriadina? Or is there still danger to fear?"

Ao plods in what seems to him to be the right direction, but will follow Kikkik's indication if he's wrong.

(For AoM and Razorlance)

"No, there are still dangers ahead, my friends." Kikkik replied. "We will be unable to avoid the wizards from here on out, so be prepared to use your wit and tact. They are as effective weapons against them as any physical means, if not moreso."
Kikkik paused. "At the top of those stairs is the Wizard Market. We should be reasonably safe, as wizards are solitary creatures and likely won't try anything in front of the others. Don't get cocky, though."

(Global statement)
The sky grew very dark as twilight gave way to night. The rain began to pour harder, and it was difficult to see without the aid of artificial light, for the moon was obscured by clouds.

(For Pie and Leo)

As the silent construct and Ithicus approached the Old Temple, a dull blue glow appeared within the massive, ancient structure. The light spilled out from a large hole in the roof, and through the archway leading into the Temple. An old man shuffled out of the archway and stood on the top step, waiting for the duo to come closer.

Ithicus intinctivly knew that this old man was important. Being becous of the dull light in the temple, or just plain intuition, he knew he was important. apon seing the old man, aproched him quickly, stoping in front of him, waiting for him to speak.

The construct took a brief moment to examine Ithicus' response to the old man's presence, as if it was in suspicion; it knew that Ithicus was born after it's own birth. It was sure Ithicus have never met this person before, and yet he already assumed this man was harmless and made a respectful stance. The construct seemed it would not judge that early, for it again interacted the old man the way it interacted Ithicus the first time; it stood firm, tall and unmoving save for his head, which once and again tilted from side to side so that he could eye in nearly every detail of the old man in front of him through the frequent drops of rain passing it's very view. It seemed to ignore the rain as it showered onto the already wet construct, the drops coming into the small cracks between it's stone-like skin and metal wiring.

Great. Tek thought, more wizards. He lumbered on after Ao making sure to stay close. "Wit and tact? surely these wizards are just as smart and cunning as any muck creature? what with their mastery of magic."

(For AoM and Razorlance)

"Many wizards depend on their instruments of magic as much as on any skill or adeptness in magic. Do not assume that their powers of the mind are greater than yours. The danger of wizards lies in their tendency to be of unsound mind. I think it happens when one dabbles too much in the magic arts. They lose any sense of right and wrong, but they also tend to lose their powers of rational thought." Kikkik informed Tek.
As they ascended the staircase, the cave behind them fell dark, as if the lamps had a mind of their own. They stepped out into a wide-open space, the rain coming down hard on them. All around them stood little shanties, tents, and a few very large wooden buildings with enormous doorways. A variety of creatures jostled about, stopping to do business at the various shops. Promenades and side streets were tiled with coarse grey stones.
Though night had fallen, the area was quite bright, for lamps stood everywhere.
There were more creatures here than any of the travellers had seen in total since they had spawned. They came in all colours and sizes, many of them lizard-like in appearance, others with skin like that of Ilosep, soft and pink. They wore a strange variety of clothing, none of it exactly alike, though there seemed to be some common themes. Many wore sequined clothing not unlike the wizard they had met in the tram station. Others wore loose, baggy clothing that looked many sizes too big. All wore many pieces of metal, and it was hard to tell whether these items were functional or merely aesthetic.

The scenery was dominated by an enormous mountain, what could only be Lomba Mountain.

Immediately to the south, a busy promenade led off toward the mountain, and out of the market-place. "That is where we must go. This is a busy street, so hopefully the wizards will leave us alone." Kikkik said. Passing wizard-folk peered with interest at the imposing creatures of the Muck. They did not seem frightened, though many of them were smaller and nimbler. It was hard to believe that they posed any threat, yet the looks many of them made were odd and mischievous.
To the east, a deserted and dark, narrow, alleyway led away behind some shops. A strange howl, like that of something in pain, echoed from down the alleyway. Nobody around paid any attention to the sound, as if it were an everyday occurrence.

Briker excitedly climbs up the animal's leg and maneuvers around Mushball and Xev and Vex up to the head where he looked out proudly.

"I shall fight to the death!" And Briker emitted an exhilarated screech!

Vex and Xev cringe at Briker's screech. Vex remains bitter while Xev smiles excitedly.

(For Pie and Leo)

"Nice night for a walk?" the old man queried sarcastically. "I see the old Pond is still churning out creatures!"
"Well then, my name is Ilosep. And who might you be?" he addressed both of the creatures.

(For Nixit, Schme, and El_Skwidd)

Bassus grinned, a sudden hope overtaking his previously sullen mood.
"Onward, Felinibis! We shall defend the forest!"
Felinibis rose rather quickly off the ground, bucking his riders slightly. Bassus hiccupped in response. The energy of the great beast could be felt beneath them.
Felinibis ducked his head down, and let out a low grumble. He began to plod forward, slowly at first, but his pace quickened rapidly. He leapt into the wall of leaves and charged through the heart of the forest. Branches whipped at his passengers as the animal tore through the trees.
Up ahead, outside the forest, they could see the flickering light of torches; the Pink Ones had begun to march on the forest.
Felinibis burst out of the woods before about 20 of the most "fearless" of the Pink Ones. Their chants were interrupted by a collective gasp as they looked upon the giant cat. Felinibis stared them down with his piercing jade eyes, the flames of the torches reflected in them.
At that moment, a great tremble rose up from within the beast, and a mighty roar blasted from his open maw. Five of the Pink Ones turned heel and ran, dropping their torches as they fled. Yet fifteen still held their ground. They slowly advanced towards Felinibis, holding torches before them, thrusting spears forward in a threatening gesture. One of them threw a spear at Felinibis, who swatted it aside with his paw like it was nothing.

Tek focused a limb down the alleyway trying to see what was causing the noise, then raised another to focus on Ao. "Sounds like something in trouble, maybe? But we do not want to be drawing attention to ourselves either. What do you think?"

Vex and Xev dismount from the mighty Felinibis. They plod over to the spear that was thrown and pick it up together. Finding that it's too heavy and awkward for them to use, they trudge back over to Felinibis and offer the spear to MushBall.

"Letsh shee jusht how shtrong you are, MushBall," Vex teases.

"I'm Ithicus" He said. He then looked past the old man looking for the source of the light. "I'ts a bit to muddy for a walk around here for my tasts." Then, not being able to see the source of the light, he Glanses back on the Helmitoyd/construct, and then returns his gaze to the old man.

Briker climbs down from Felinibis, and climbs up Xev and Vex.

Mindspeaking, he says, "If we were able to get a few of them close, I could jump at their eyes and puncture them, distracting them... do you think you could lure a few?"
