There's a game about Egypt... I can't remember what it's called, I used to play it though..

Well, it's a strategy game, you go to university and you build things to get another things....

Does anyone know which game I'm talking about? I think it's very well-known..

And no, it's not the Pharoahs.

Oh! I used to play A Tale in the Desert! It had great graphics, but I lost interest after a while.........I think you had to pay to join the guilds or something? I can't remember.

According to their website, it's a 24-hour free trial over several sittings, after which you should subscribe, at $13,95 a month.

I recall a much older game with the same name, never played that older game but I remember hearing about it back when Win95 was still the standard OS on new pc's.
That older game was a mix between adventure and rpg, but only had very limited multi-player options, even for those days... that's why I never played it.
But I remember it because a few of my friends were crazy about that game...
Yeah, back then, I still had friends... a social life... I even dated for a while, back then.
I may even have seen some daylight back in those days

Anyways, this newer Tale in the desert, I'm not sure I really like it.
I do like the concept and the description, and the screenshots, but something deep down in the shadows of my geekish/nerdy side is pulling me away from it, I can't quite put my finger on exactly why.
And my Dutch-ness is like "$13,95 a month... yeah, right... yeah..." heh...

Exactly... There's no way in hell that I'm paying for the game...

It's not worth it, and Cantr is more enjoyable, and it's free!!
