I feel so special. *tear* William was mentioned so many times!

I'd give my opinion, but I feel kinda biased, giving it.... Definitely Moria, though, and Thorn, for that matter. He really sticks to his 'you're all a bunch of (editted for content)' personality quite well. Tami, too. (I feel a very good background story coming on!) And Shay, who travels with William. I've lost interest in quite a few of my characters, so I can't say much about many areas.....

Why do you feel biased adding those to the list?

Ahhhh, I was mentioned? *Wipes his eyes* I would like to thank my parents for locking me in the basement as a child, without that, I would not be able to make such interesting characters.

I am kidding, no really, I am kidding. 8)

*his lip tembles* Am I Unique? As in, is Carrot unique? He's a wierd, demented ... person, have you, and he's going through issues like, why live, and now he's thinking about death. And he can barely speak, and he based his name on the first object he stole in the Spawnation of his life.

I got mentioned! I got mentioned!

*wipes a tear* Thank you, Seatown!

I must say, I wish I had more time for playing Haiku. I've wanted to make someone like him for a long time but then I have to think of what to say. You should see me... Counting on my fingers just before I type anything down!

As I said, you're doing a great job with him. Keep it up. :D

What are the rules for that poetry style, anyway?

Hmm... if I remember right, it's three lines.

Five syllables,
Seven Syllables,
Five Syllables.

The more I think about it, the more I think that's wrong.

Nope, that's right.

Indeed, you are right.
There is no need to worry.
Your guess is correct.

That is exactly right, although in traditional Haiku, you should also include an indication as to the season to give it a kind of background.

I know this because I have a character making an alternitive map of the KDS island ... in Haiku. Several Haikus for each location, to describe it's resources and exits.

It's silly and largely pointless, but it passes the time.
Reality was never my strong point.

Following the norm
Is not needed in Haiku
Only easier

Following the syllabic pattern is far from the point of Haiku, it's but to paint a picture (usually nature based) in the least amount of necessary syllables (to get rid of the excess).

Actually, I've been doing 3/5/3 for Haiku Rain. But I think it can be any combination like that. So 5/7/5 is not incorrect either. And I've tried to throw in nature things from time to time. As I said--I'm always counting on my fingers before I answer people. It's harder than it seems!

Nope, a haiku is 5-7-5 (and strictly speaking that's not counting syllables per se, and if you want to go traditional and purist, there are a few other rules). No matter, still very cool.

Well, I couldn't remember exactly. It's been <mumble mumble> years since I was in college. I'm just following what I think works. I've already messed up once but the citizens of Seatown were quite forgiving. :)

I won a Haiku contest once, got a coffee mug and mouse pad with it written on it.

The sky is canvas.
To the setting summer sun,
Painted in brilliance.

I have to agree with Moria...she is so much fun .... and Thorn...very good RP...
