I am new to the game and I do not know if there is anything like this yet but, I think land marks would be pretty sweet. (Thinks of the great wall of Cantr.) LOL

I meant that whenever you see a corpse, the first thing that catches your eye is the little Christian-cross burial symbol next to it. Remember, we are visual animals before we are literary reading-and-writing beings. If you were given some fraction of a second to count the corpses on a page, what would your eye focus on, eh?

The Industriallist wrote:Cantr doesn't have maggots or stench, and corpses don't rot away so presumably they don't rot. The icon shouldn't be a cross but its presence is not a significant one.

Cantr is meant also to be a society simulator as well as a roleplay environment. In other words, it is not "free" (open-ended) roleplay. So if certain culturally non-neutral elements are introduced, then these have effects on character behavior. Clearly, eternal non-rotting corpses are having an effect on behavior in some towns.

This is not a huge issue with me, but I found it sociologically interesting. :)

I really like the monument and nameable items ideas

Before we get any fancy altars we should have the version they used in the times of Noah's ark and such, a pile of stone. Now if you leave a lot of stone just lying around people will think they are scattered and take them for their own use, but if it's a structure then they would realize it's there for a reason. I think three kilos is enough for a small primitive altar.

It could also work as a low-capasity storage, technically making it possible to set offerings on it - flowers, meat and food would cross my mind. And then we could start bashing people for sacriledge. :) But the problem comes if there are other containers in the area, it just says you took something from storage. Now if that could be changed to an altar it would be nice. But not essential. Easiest way is just to add a stone container called Primitive altar, needs no tools, short time to build.

I think that if you had things like "small wooden object", or "small stone object" that you could carry in your inventory and rename them to "Charm of The Gods", for example, it would be pretty cool. Especially if you could string them on necklaces.
