Allow Tabbed Browsing

Postby Doug R. » Mon Nov 14, 2005 6:16 pm

Do you know what would be really nice? If I could click on the buttons and open multiple windows using the standard methods of doing so. The way the buttons are made, they do not allow more than one window. I would use it all the time., especially when comparing inventories in notes to objects in a room, so I don't have to spend an half hour going item by item. I could just jump back and forth between tabs/windows.

(ctrl)+n

hold the 'ctrl' button and press the 'n' button this will duplicate whatever window you have open and up front then you can navigate using either and the other stays fixed i do this all the time it takes care of exactly what you want (haha i stumbled onto this by acident about a year and a half ago just tinkering with my keyboard)

ctrl + n
works for IE - it opens a new window on Firefox, but not at the same address

It depends what browser you are using?

If you have firefox then do ctrl + t, that would open up a new tab. Just copy the web address into your new tab.

Oh wait...I think there's an even easier way, I think you can just right click on a button in Firefox and select "open in a new tab." I wouldn't know because I don't have firefox on this computer.

No, none of the traditional methods of opening tabs work, or I wouldn't have wasted everyone's time posting to the forum.

Well, although I can get around it it doesn't sound too bad. Plus it won't clatter up my browser...this isn't such a bad idea.

While I do appreciate the investment of time in this idea, it isn't Cantr-logical.

As I said before, and mal-explained, there are ways around your issues. How often do things like this occur? If you're a leader of a town, and you need to do these things often, then maybe it is an issue.

Otherwise... Waste of ProgD time, I guess. :?
