cotton fibers

How do I make cotton fibers from the cotton I have collected in the field? Maybe I have missed a machine, but I did think I build all cotton refining machines. I still can't do anything with my cotton though.

The machine you are looking for is the "cotton gin" or "simple cotton gin"

Did build it. Just did not look to the right machine.


Why are there so many processes needed to make a simple rope, while iron for example only needs two (crushing and melting)?

Because you can't crush and melt cotton. I'ts a bit more complicated.
