:D Afraid of spiders hmm? Well come to Aussie. We have more spider, bugs, snakes, insects and all other creepy crawlys then anywhere else.

Anyway my fear is being out of control, and/or unawares of what is going on around me. I always like to be able to tell whats going on.

My main phobias are snakes, swimming, and needles. So I guess that would make my worst fear a water snake coming after me with a needle (maybe the teeth would count as needles).
I have an irrational fear of death. Irrational because I don't know what comes next, and if it's nothing then I have nothing to fear. I suppose it would be more accurate to call it a fear of the unknown, which I think is pretty much shared at least on a subconscious level by just about everyone.

I never really been afraid of needles, but I can't say I really like getting them. First of all, they hurt, and you're anticipating pain, so it's very unpleasant. Secondly, since being small always, all the little kids not liked the heroin addicts, because they'd shoot up and be all creepy and sleep in the streets, and sometimes we'd see these creepy people pounding away at their wrist and then sticking themselves with a sharp object, which was terrifying.

Shower curtains, I do not like to open, but what I find helps it speaking with the shower curtain, and getting on good terms with them. I be serious, I really mean it.

Fear of swimming? That is very strange, I must say.

I do not like the unknown, no, not at all. I like to know what's going on. That's why I read so much, I think.

Spiders, I can't say I understand being scared of. Perhaps if they we're a big hairy venomous one, but the small ones are not very scary. Although a scary thought would be being around when an egg sack hatches...Hundreds and hundreds of tiny spiders, crawling everywhere....Ehhhhh.....

What really scares me, though, is the police. I'm terrifyed of them. At least, the ones that I've seen and dealt with. Being outnumbered in a fight is scary, but not as scary as the police.

Also, being threatened by powerful people (other than the police) scares me very much.

I love darkness - I often go for walks in the dark, but that's mostly due to my insomnia. And spiders are wonderful things - I've no problem with them.
Although, as a kid, they did freak me out a little. I remember, ages ago, I was on holiday, and we stayed in a an old farm house. I was sleeping in the roof space, and my bed was right near some rafters, which has holes in a couple of places by my head. A black spider had made its home there, and just sat inside with its body inside where it was dark, and its eight legs poking out, sitting in a circle around the hole. It scared me as it was so close to my head. I could knock the wood and it'd crawl inside, but it'd come out again soon after.
I found some masking tape, so I knocked on the wood then put a strip over the hole. I was falling asleep when I started to hears scratching. I realised that what I could hear was the spider's legs trying to get out, sticking to the tape, then pulling back off. It kept me awake all night, and I was too scared to pull it off incase the spider was stuck to it...

I like spiders now though, I have no issues with them.

I only have one irrational fear - and it's a little boring - heights kinda freak me out a little. Not too bad, I will happily go to the top of tall buildings, the eiffel tower etc. I just won't stand by the edge too long...

I hate spiders!!! When you try to catch them they jump everywhere.. And, what if they jumped on your face or into your mouth when you are, say, yawning or something!! EWWWWWWWWWW!!

I also hate aliens!! Really, I'm scared to death of aliens.. Please God, let there not be any aliens..

And clowns!!! I don't know why, but I really am scared of them... And those people who wear full suits that are like characters, like those people in Disney Land wearing Mickey Mouse and the other ones.. THEY FREAK ME OUT!!

 ...Oh, wait, wrong topic.

Did I mention my fear of new things? Limits my life pretty bad, I should mostly have someone to hold my hand when I gotta go to some place new. I just keep procrastinating and go late or not at all.

Why? What is the root of the fear?

 I'm afraid of everything. Bugs, heights, darkness (like being outside at night--too many creepy people, and you can't see them . . .), needles (or anything else that potentially could cause pain), the unknown . . . not clowns or aliens, though. :D In some situations I'm afraid of being out of control, other situations I am afraid of assuming leadership or responsibility.

I (sometimes) have an irrational fear of being wrong or being rejected that I can't get over. . . . It limits me severely.

The fear of new things? Hmm, if I had a logical reason for it then I bet it would be easier to overcome. But because it's just a lump somewhere in the subconsciousness, it's like fighting trolls in the dark without a flashlight - you gotta wait that they come to you, can't go chasing them on your own scedule.
