The Lurker wrote:*shrugs* You could ask the same question about Dee, though. Why would a killer so persistently try to lynch a specific person if she knew it would only draw attention to herself?

"So why me, and not Dee?"

The day has ended.

Stevin, Roger and Dee have had enough of old George. The days and nights of terror have seemingly pushed them past any thoughts of civility or mercy. The three of them overpower the old man, kicking and punching him. The old man has a lot of fight in him, but it is ended when a broken table leg is brought down on his head several times. Mentally and physically exhausted, the small mob backs away from George's bloody corpse.

Day 4 has ended. George (Nixit) is dead. Night 4 begins. Night time people, please give me your moves.

Endgame: Vampire vs. Werewolves

Postby AoM » Sat Nov 05, 2005 8:07 pm

The door to "Roger's" room splintered into kindling from the raging force of the werewolf shaman's claws. She growled uncertainly as the room she stepped into was covered in an unnatural pitch-blackness.

"Welcome Savasia..." Roger's voice was different than it had been in the past few days. Now it carried a hint of some very old accent.

Someone's fingers snapped and four braziers in each corner of the room lit up with a sickly green flame, illuminating the chamber for the first time. Roger sat upon a chair facing the werewolf, at his feet knelt his three human servants, Stevin, Dee, and Mikki.

For the first since the slaughter began, Savasia now felt a chilling fear creep through her as the realization hit home. She had walked into a trap. An animalistic rage filled her and she bellowed a challange to the vampire lord, but as she was about to leap upon him a shooting pain laced through her spine... The young rocker, El Skwidd, had seemingly materialized out of nowhere and stabbed her with something sharp and silver.

Howling in desperation, the werewolf backhanded the vampire thrall across the room and charged forward towards the vampire lord. But Roger had already stood up and bared his fangs... at the last possible moment, his body took on the form of mist, causing the werewolf to smash through the chair and into the wall behind.

As she lay dazed, Savasia could hear the three marked mortals begin to chant unintelligible words in unison, and as they did, the approaching vampire lord seemed to grow stronger, his skin becoming more flush with life, and the aura of dread surrounding him becoming so potent, that the werewolf shaman did not need to use her gifts of mystical sight to know that she was done for.

With seemingly impossible strength, Roger lifted the werewolf with one hand, bared his fangs, and bit deeply into her jugular. In a matter of moments it was over... the last of the werewolves lay lifeless and bloodless.

The remaining humans, Varrius and Bang, who had been numbed into shell-shock from day one, were easily overwhelmed and drained of life as well.

GAME OVER
Result: Vampires win!
Victory claimed by The Lurker, El Skwidd, Mikki, Pie, and Dee.

Role call:

The Lurker (aka Roger)... Vampire Lord

El Skwidd... Vampire Thrall

Sparkle (aka Savasia)... Werewolf Shaman

Nixit (aka George)... Werewolf Warrior

Racetyme (aka Clint)... Hero

All others were innocents...

Important moments in the game:

On night 1 for no apparent reason, the silent Mikki allies with the vampires.

On night 2, the Hero went on blind faith and tried to empower The Lurker, not knowing that he was a Vampire. The werewolves killed the Hero that same night, but the Vampires now knew for certain that the Hero was dead. Also, on this night, Pie was press-ganged into taking the mark of blood.

Day 4, eventually, Dee is coerced into joining the side of the vampires as well. Knowledge that the Hero was dead probably made joining the vampires a lucrative arrangement. Nixit, a Werewolf, was lynched.

Night 4, the lone werewolf shaman is outnumbered five to one. Both sides target each other, but the Vampires come out on top. There are now 2 Vampires vs. 2 innocents. Enough to secure victory for the Vampires.

***************

Not bad for a first game. There was a real variance in strategies. The werewolves went the traditional "kill first ask questions later" route, while the vampires, true to their lurking and plotting nature, chose to create a large cult of acolytes and let their enemies do the killing for them. The hero had a hard time of it... the one person he managed to view was killed the same night (Angelspice). His desperation gambit to empower someone wasn't a bad idea either, he just was unlucky in choosing an evil player. Unfortunately, the human side was somewhat doomed by having so much inactivity. In future games, players will really need to try harder to be active. Anyways, congratulations to the winners, and much thanks to everyone who played. Feedback on this game is welcomed, as it is very much a work in progress.

HA HA!!! I WIN!!!

I always thought "the lurker" was a monster, though i thought he was a vampier, becous angelspice was killed, and she suspected him.

As for roger, it actually did finnaly come to me that he was a werewolf.

As for me, i used to be a forinsic, persen, who was really drawing crime seans in his note book.

but... still.... LETS PLAY AGAIN!!! LETS PLAY AGAIN!!!

What are you talking about Pie? I was the Vampire Lord. See role call above.

Anyway, it's rather amusing that the only two times people were lynched, it was the monsters doing the lynching. The human side was definitely too inactive to have a fighting chance.
