Jungle

Rivers/Canals

Dont know if this has been suggested elsewhere, didn't see it tho.

Saw a thread about diseases and monkeys and thought jungles would be the best place to get them, along with rubber, coal and a few other resources.

River and canal systems that boats can travel along from town to town, and a few new barges and narrow boats to go with them

Canals have been suggested. Forests already work much like jungles would; rubber is indeed always found in forests.

Maybe forests could be renamed jungle (or actually I prefer tropical forest - the ones with bananas and other fruit, rubber...), coniferous forest (the ones with resin) and broad-leaved forest.

Jungles can be jungles, and the ones on older islands are tropical forests. :)

Jungles already exist.

Rivers also, they're just invisible :p (but they are actually in the database).

How difficult would it be to have the little blue lines be drawn on the map? Rivers are fairly important landmarks after all.

I assume they're avoided as the cross the paths between places, and there's no way of building bridges...?

Then again, Cantrians already regulalrly swim across lakes (or fly)
