Nope. Although it's considered "cult" i never liked them. Especially the last part, "the restaurant at the end of the universe" was lame, Really bad!!!
Life is fun. Play naked with Psycho-Pixie.

i really liked that series, although the plot is not so clear, it's funny enough to make up for it. i would agree that the ending isn't satisfactory though.

Personally, I don't read sci-fi often (instead I like to watch sci-fi). I'm more of a high fantasy or hack and slash fantasy person.

One of my favorite sci-fi stories is "Harrison Bergeron" by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. It will change the way you think and will stop you from saying that things should be fair.

Vonnegut is good because he makes you think when you read. All god sci-fi and fanasy does that while at the same time can be enjoyed as pure entertainment.

Londo: "Mass drivers! They have been outlawed by every civilized planet!"
Refa: "These are uncivilized times."
Londo: "We have treaties."
Refa: "Ink on a page."

Draal: "I'm never alone. My thoughts are always among the stars. And I've learned that there are a few others living here who maintain the great machine. I speak with them from time to time. They are quite .. interesting. There is one particular who.."

G'Kar: "No dictator, no invader, can hold an imprisoned population by the force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against that power governments, and tyrants, and armies can not stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free."

Sheridan: "Tell them, that from this place we will deliver notice to the parliaments of conquerors that a line has been drawn against the darkness. And we will hold that line, .. no matter the cost."

Some more Time Line! Come now, I know you all are excited!

c1250

A highly advanced space-faring society flourishes on Ikara 7. After being invaded repeatedly, they build 12 organic technology warriors to protect them ("Infection").
The Markab and several other species appear to have some experience of Soldier's of Darkness ("Long Dark").
The Shadows occupy a continent on Narn's Southern Hemisphere, where they are observed by G'Quon. He writes of this "Ancient Race" and their Great War at the Rim of "Known Space", centered around Za'Ha'Dum ("Revelations") in his Sacred Book. He includes pictures of Shadow Warriors and Shadow vessels ("The Long Dark", "Matters of Honor") [He manages to identify the location of the stars near Za'Ha'Dum accurately enough that G'Kar is able to trace them and visit them ("Revelations")] After the Narns start attacking the Shadows, the Shadows retaliate by killing off all the Narn "mindwalkers" (telepaths) (JSMU).
The Taratimude technomages fight for the Shadows (N-Casting Shadows).
On an unnamed planet, the population is subjected to the Shadow plague after denying the Shadows access to their world as a Base. The population goes into suspended animation ("Racing the Night").
An alliance of worlds, including the few remaining First Ones (including the Vorlons) and the Minbari attack the Shadows in what will later be remembered as a Great War ("In the Shadow of Za'Ha'Dum").
Nothing of specific significance occurs on Earth, although at least two Shadow ships crash in the Solar System (at Mars and Ganymede) ("Message from Earth").
The Great War begins to go badly for the Minbari, et al. Their greatest 'star base' is destroyed by the Shadows. Babylon 4 is brought back from the future to serve as a as a replacement base of operations during a war between Light and Darkness, seeming to appear from out of nowhere ("Babylon Squares", "War Without End", pts 1&2). Accompanying Babylon 4 is Jeffrey David Sinclair, who undergoes the "Chrysalis" process to become Valen, a "Minbari, not Born of Minbari" ("War Without End", pt.2).
Valen subdues the Warrior Caste, establishes the Grey Council (JMSU) as "The Chosen One" (N-To Dream in the City of Sorrows), and establishes the Anla'Shok ("Rangers") to fight the Shadows (N-To Dream in the City of Sorrows).
The Alliance against the Shadows destroy 2/3ds of the Shadow forces, driving them from Za'Ha'Dum ("War Without End", pt.1).
Valen's appearance signals that Minbari Souls are going somewhere else, "going missing" [this may be when they start to actually notice a change] ("War Without End", JMSU).
The B4 Station survives the war, but doesn't last much longer than that (JMSU). [Actually, this is not entirely true, since it remains intact until it is discovered in 2261 (C-"In Valen's name").]
Valen transforms the Anla'Shok into an army of watchers to keep an eye out for the return of the Shadows (N-To Dream in the City of Sorrows).
It is possible that Sinclair finds Catharine Sakai in the past (N-To Dream in the City of Sorrows).

Wow, a lot happened durring that time!

1250-1350

After the War, Valen had children. The children, fearing persecution because they weren't pure Minbari, fled Minbar until after Valen's death ("Atonement").
Sometime during this time, the Taratimude wipe themselves out (N-Casting Shadows). The lineage of Wierden still revive the tech from the Shadows (N-Casting Shadows).

c1260

The Shadows bury their capitols ships in preparation for the next War, including one on Mars, and one on Ganymede (JMSM).

c1350

Valen writes notes to Delenn and Sinclair ("War Without End", pt.1, JMSU).
Valen "Goes Beyond" (JMSU, N-To Dream in the City of Sorrows); his body is never found ("Atonement") [Foreshadowing Sheridan's end ("Sleeping in Light").
The Children of Valen return to Minbar and have children of their own, spreading human genes through the Minbari population for the next thousand years ("Atonement").

1888

August-November "Jack the Ripper" terrorizes London's East End.
11 November On the morning after the last of the Ripper Murders, the Vorlons abduct "Sebastian", of 14-B Harrisburg Lane, to determine if he is truly the "Chosen One". When it is determined that he is not, they retain him to act as their "Inquisitor" ("Comes the Inquisitor").
"Two by Two, Hands of Blue."

So anyone watches Star Trek Enterprise? I know David does or did. Anyone else?

That episode where Earth was destroyed and Captain Archer was hit my anomoly and given short term memory was quite good.

I really like how all the humans are falling in love with the female vulcan and the female vulcan is falling in love with them. I just hope it doesn't turn into another Star Trek soap opera like Deep Space Nine or even Next Generation. Keep to the Voyager style of story telling with more discovery and action then love affairs.

Yeah, I enjoy watching that as well, very interesting with their new plot lines that have been going at...

Although I have not been able to really watch it, but I try when I can, if they changed the day that they air it then I would be able to watch it :D

But I still must say, B5 is the best 'scifi drama' with the greatest plots and such 8)

more on the timeline!

1940

14 November The Germans bomb Coventry ("In the Shadow of Za'Ha'Dum").

1950

Aliens begin to capture Humans for various research purposes ("Grail"/v, "All Alone in the Night"/v). [The Date is an estimate. The "Gray" styles of aliens shown suggests that not all the contact reports we've had so far have been hoaxes. Although they appear to be similar to the Streib, (JMSU) has been pretty specific that they are not the same species. It may be that these are the Vree.]
The Centauri begin using telepaths in military intelligence ("The Paragon of Animals").

1961

12 April Yuri Gagarin orbits the Earth in Vostok 1 ("The Illusion of Truth").

1963

April The Soviet probe Mars 1 loses communication with Earth while traveling to Mars (JMSM).
13 June Mars 1 silently makes the first flyby of a terrestrial probe past Mars (JMSM).

1965

14 July The American probe Mariner 4 flies past Mars, taking pictures (JMSM).
1971

14 November Mariner 9 begins its study of Mars (JMSM).
1976

19 June Viking 1 enters Mars orbit (JMSM).
20 July The Viking lander touches down on Mars (JMSM).

1999

12 April US President Bill Clinton establishes his Commission of the Future ("The Illusion of Truth").

2011

A near-Earth asteroid nearly hits the Earth (N-Dark Genesis).

2013

The Russians are involved in some sort of totalitarian governmental coup ("The Exercise of Vital Powers").

2018

The first Lunar colony is established at Mare Tranquilitis ("The Illusion of Truth").
