I wonder if I should make a character that has a speech impediment and can only talk in 'leet.

Yeah... you'd be talking to someone and it'd take you forever to type out a sentence... by the time you go to post you get an error message telling you that your character has already been killed by the entire town.

I'd probably kill a char that could only talk in leet. Or commit suicide, I couldn't stand having to read it every day.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

One thing I like about other MMPOGS is the opportunity to kill someone who talks like that.

Actually to me, I could read that (refering to latest nerdspeak sentence in this page) in a few seconds, and I never seen any nerdspeak (... it would be more appropriate to call it "chatspeak," thank you...) like that. I swear!

It's nerdspeak. Period.
In character, you will die. Out of character, you will lose respect.
Most of my posts I'm joking, but now I'm not.

I'm a nerd in that area of nerd-dom, a geek in that arena of geekdom, and I am proud - L337 is a never ending source of amusement...

You know, there is a difference between geeks and nerds.

Geeks like somthing that is weird, or they are obsesed with it: Dongions and dragons.

Nerds are people who are smart, and usually socially impaired.

I disagree. Nerds are anyone who are well-versed in a particular recreation, hobby, or profession. There are football nerds (those who know every stat, play fantasy football, etc) there are science nerds (know way too much about chemistry) and there are gaming nerds (like all cantr players). Nerds are not necessarily out of the social loop, they just can get over-excited when talking about their area of expertise. So long as they don't let this over-excitation become an obsession, they are good to go.

Geeks are the book-smart, yet socially challenged individuals.

They way I view it, nerds are good, geeks are bad.

I don't know why you think that "Dungeons & Dragons" is something weird. It is actually very close to Cantr (more so then it seems that you want to admit), and with the correct DM, can have true "role playing", even more so then Cantr will ever be able to (Cantr is a great game none the less, and allows the interaction of a vast number of players, but my point still stand).
