(<CANTR CHARD...couldn't this be faster?

Postby kabl00ey » Wed Nov 02, 2005 12:00 am

Could ProgD please look into adding either:
a.) A player/character setting so that (<CANTR CHARDESC>) is added by default to every name, if you've turned that setting on.

or.

b.) A button, just like the bold, italic, underline, and quote buttons above, so that we can just click it to add " (<CANTR CHARDESC>)" to a name.

I don't know about anyone else, but I use this for every char I meet, and it gets a little repetitive typing it about 20 times initially for 15 chars, then about 1 per day per char.

For situations when you have to use it 15 times in a row, there is conveniently a feature already built into both Linux distributions and all Windows versions!

Suprised you never heard of them before, but they're called "copy" and "paste". :P

Am I the only one who thinks this is a waste of time?

And for times when you only have to do it once, say, every couple of hours, per char?

My copy and paste feature is always used to copy the name, so I could sure use this.

Useless for me - that's not how I describe people, but looks like it would help others. I'm for it!

Exactly, Nick :)

When I'm on... (<CANTR CHARDESC>) is what's always on my clipboard... (kinda strange when I hit ctrl+v on accident tho and get the tag lol) I only copy+paste hard-to-remember names... and even if you copy+paste those, it doesn't take but a few sec to ctrl+c then ctrl+v the tag :P It's very convenient, you know ;)

Though, such a button would not be a bad thing... just something I'd have low on the list of priorities..

It should be an easy thing to do with JavaScript - a link that, when clicked, appends <CANTR CHARDESC> to the name field. I'd also find it very handy - should I figure out the appropriate code?
