First Cantr Vacation Pictures!

Postby Agar » Sun Oct 30, 2005 2:54 am

I recently moved from California to Missouri, about a month ago. I feared for the safety of my people, but they all came through with no problems.

Part of the trip involved going through the desert near Las Vegas (the other LV) and we took a bit of time to go through the painted desert park there. Reading thought the pamphlet, I found out that the reddish brown strata on the desert walls was none other than ... HEMATITE!!!

Yes, for the remainder of the day I was looking for coal, gas, or wood to make charcoal (I had a kiln in my U-haul, I $h!t you not)

So, for the first installment of my vacation to various cantr resources: A picture of Agar pointing at a band of hematite!

That is what the majority of our characters strive for.

Wow. If Agar hadn't have told me, I would swear it was...

dirt.

It does bare a striking resemblance to dirt. Maybe reddish dirt, but dirt non the less. On that note, why is hematite so damn rare in cantr?

I typically tend to avoid such clothing with a passion, but I wasn't going to say anything.

I saw the Painted Desert this summer, on our roadtrip from Kansas to Nevada and back. :) If you went to the national park, wasn't the Petrified Forest right next to it?
