Perhaps if cigarettes were illegal you might see more related problems to demonstrate the point.
But of course, as common sense and the graph will tell you, cigarettes are nowhere near as intoxicating.

Boil a pack of cigarettes and drain it... you have a tasteless, odorless lethal poison.

This is true. You feel like you're on top of the world, you're in control of everything, you think fast, your ideas are sheer brilliance, and everyone is just loveable. Anyone also high on coke is ready to agree with you.

To everyone else, you're over-enthousiast about nothing, you talk jibberish, and act as a moron or a prick or both.

Should you use it on a job interview for _any_ job not in the advertising field, you'll probably have the feeling that the interview went great and you're certain to get the job, untill the rejection letter comes in.

For advertising jobs, you'll probably get the job because your interviewer was on coke too.

Jur.

PS - and to those people in advertising that are about to climb their pens, this was a pun.

Explain?

Oh and Jur, either you don't know what a pun is or I missed the pun.

I don't know, it's just sick. Drugs suck! I am positive they are not good for your health, no matter what some people would say!

You're positive? So you have maybe something like... proof or evidence to show your point?
Define drugs? So, you wouldn't take a tylenol if you had a headache?
If you get cancer, you're just going to tough it out? No drugs for you?

Although there are some people who do that.

So, specify then. Saying drugs are bad, but then saying tylenol doesn't count... is being very ambiguous and not very debate worthy.

I've personally known people who've overdosed from Tylenol. Nobody has ever ODed from marijuana, for instance.

Or what about alcohol? Why do people refer to it as "drugs and alcohol"? Alcohol isn't just a "drug", which anyone would agree with. Alcohol is a hard drug, right up there with cocaine and heroine. It's just that it's popular, and socially acceptable.

Now the same thing goes for alcohol as "drugs".. alcohol is legal but you'd probably get fired if you went to work loaded. But if you go home and drink a beer after work, or get loaded on the weekends and still keep your professional and family life okay, then I don't see the problem.

Why not with cocaine, for instance? If instead of buying it from dealers in rough neighborhoods, what if you bought it at your local cocaine store? Maybe did a little for fun or to relax, what would be the problem with that? Obviously as I said about alcohol, driving on it or going to work on it will of course have consequences. But my question is... why is alcohol exempt from this?

I smoke weed. I don't drink. I think I'm better off like that.

Well... *shrugs* I didn't know exactly what she was talking about, but tylenol has health benefits, so not that.

And personally, I don't know why it's one and not the other, except that maybe alcohol is -generally speaking- less addicting.

How sure are you of that? Alcohol is pretty damn addictive, and according to the doctors who made that graph I posted, you're not as right as you might think.

All of you who are saying drugs are dangerous. LSD has exactly zero addictive effects and no health defects. I have researched this pretty extensively, I'll bring it up if anyone contradicts this. No, I am not counting flashbacks as a health defect.[/b]

Tell that to Screwy Lewie, the local crazyman of the small town I used to live in.
Took too much acid and now he rides around town in his underwear on a childs bicycle.

In my town his name was Crazy Charlie. To this day he walks around with a boom box on his shoulder listening to music...strange thing is, no one else can hear any sound coming out of it.

He shot me once with a beebee gun in a clump of trees/weeds near my house. Our guess was that he was growing something.
