But seriously.. THIS WILL LEAD TO BETTER DOCTORING. And.. like... WOUND DESCRIPTIONS... if you look at the wound close enough.. YOU MIGHT SEE THAT THE BONE IS BROKEN. SERIOUSLY.
And also.. who sais that limping will be visible to other players? Maby your speed will just decreas, and you can rollplay all of the stumbling around.
It makes the RPing REAL.

then scarrs and things could be very usefull
like for example:
you have the option to trade with two persons, both ask you to come in there house to seal the agreement you will make with one of them
one is wearing an axe and has a lots of scars.
the other is well dressed, unarmed and has no scars
who would you trust??
would make thiefs be recognised easier by the discription of the wounds they had.
also persons could brag with their "war" wounds (if there would be a war) or the wound wich has been made by a 20 foot high rabbit with gigantic teeth
just a suggestion

Well the wound things wouldn't be hard to make. I know a LITTLE bit of programming.. (But when it comes to graphics.. I don't know notin) and all you have to do is (Well.. i gues you are expecting me to make a bitmap, right? Well RONG. becous i forgot most of what i lerned.)
when somone attakes you, you have two outcomes at the same time. One would be, a wound, With 60% chance of becoming a scar, and that chance reduced by the amount of Salves, antibiotics, medicin, and healing foods somone takes, rubs on, or eats. and the other would be to make damage apper on the helth bar.
As for limps.... i don't know how to make that be programed, and limps should be RPed. but as for scars.... How are you going to rp a scar without making a very long paragraph about how the scar is pinkish red and it is on his face? as for me.. i will forget about the scar within a matter of hours.. so I, and many other forgetfull players, REALLY NEED THIS. And, it's not like you are going to be on when you are attaked, and somtimes you cant even read what attaked you.. and WITH what they attaked you with. So this is a good idea.

I like this idea but it has a IC problem there are so many people who get attacked by mad newspawns
(i feel like attacking everybody who say Hi i am (inserst name here)a newspawn)
it would be hard to tell if it was a war wound or a mad newspawn wound.

Okay let's be frank wounds is a stupid idea
but I had to bump this because Chris said that scars were already mentioned here
so here's my scar idea:
I think that anytime you are hit and over 30% damage is done it should leave a permenant scar, in a random place
say on the character description page it could say
He wears:
A hat
A scar travels up his left arm(or right up, or chest, you get the point)

Hey, don't start creeping towards my magnificent idea, it's not ready yet. And I'm not telling you how it goes since you're gonna reject it anyway. The sector thing. Wait. You weren't. For a while I was thinking you might be because clothing was mentioned in the example. Since my idea allows covering scars with clothes.

We've been discusing that on Polish forum and came up with arguments for visible scars.
They are individual marks on character's body made by weppon at a high percentage of personal injury. They can be a peculiar disfiguration or reason to be proud for some. They can easly identify a person we're looking for, chasing etc. They can be covered with clothes as far as it is possible, for instance a wide scar on the chick might be still vissible under any mask.
The scars will be assigned randomly depending on type of wepponand strength of injury or just taken from "prepared list".
This idea will bring more uniqueness of the characters as well as help to distinguish and describe characters without common problem as "anybody could be wearing hemp trousers and carring a sledge hammer".

I like Pie's original idea... you don't look at someone and get a percentage of how well they are, but you coulds see badly wounded, or near death. Different healing foods could work on different wounds... Bruises from a newpsawn (bare fist) could fade in a few days...
