Let's get some WD-40 in this game

It seems with every 3 hour that goes by I have to put in another hour on repairing an object I posses for one of my characters with 7 iron items.

Now I understand item depletion is made sopeople will have to take care of their items but (I don't know if this has happened already) iron and steel products need to deplete much slower than a more primitive object would.
Lets say for example, you have an iron hammer and it depletes at the same rate as a stone hammer. Well why would someone want to build an iron hammer then?

Iron/Steel items clearly either need to have an object make them degrade slower or just naturally degrade slower. Especially now that you guys are trying to make items currently being repaired degrade.

As a rule iron and steel objects are more durable than more primative equivalents

Deterioration is applied to objects once per day so if you try to repair something after this has happened there is always something that could be repaired no matter how small it is - the minimum time any project lasts in Cantr is 1 Cantr hour .

So lets say in one hour you can repair 10% of the object but only 1% requires reparing - It will still take an hour to achieve this.

If I were you I'd wait a few days to see how much your iron items are really deteriorating - I think you'll find you don't have to be constantly repairing them .... I'd guess it will take quite a few days before you need to spend more than an hour on any one
