MMOG

Postby swymir » Mon Dec 01, 2003 4:52 am

I'm looking for a great Massive Multiplayer Online Game. And I just want to know what everyone recomends. I'm talking about some of the big titles like Everquest and Anarchy Online. Anyone play any of those types of games?

Final Fantasy XI is suppose to come out sooner or later for Playstation 2 but you will need a hard drive for your PS2 and you will have to pay a monthly fee to pay which will keep from getting it because I don't believe I should pay $59.99 for the game only to pay $29.99 to play a month. That is why I think FFXI will go down the tubes. That and FFXI will be the last game that Square puts out on a Sony system now that they made that billion dollar deal with Nintendo. I hope that Square knows that most of their fanbase uses Sony platforms and not Nintendo platforms except for original Nintendo and Super Nintendo only because that is where the original Square games began. I don't think Square fans will run out and buy a Gamecube because of this which is what Nintendo wants. I won't because I hate most of the games on Nintendo that are unique to that system. Plus, Sony has the best platform out there.

Nintendo has a different style of games, but in my opinion giving up rare was a BIG MISTAKE. Rare is the best. I might go out and buy an X-box to get a couple of these rare games, but I'm not sure yet.

Short List of Hit Rare Games Made For Nintendo.

1. Donkey Kong Series (Excluding Original)
2. GoldenEye (Known to be one of the best shooters of all-time)
3. Perfect Dark (Another Great Shooter)
4. Conker's Bad Fur Day (I loved that game, Twisted though)

Can you really think of any other remarkable hits that Nintendo has come up with. If you can odds are it was made by rare.

Perfect Dark was by far one of the best Fps ever, I hate it when people say goldeneye was better just because it was the original...Ex-rare devolopers made Timesplitters 2, which is a really awesome game, although I don't think I was very popular...

I'm eagerly awaiting Worlds of Warcraft... my friend works for Blizzard so I can probably get on the beta.

It's not hard to get on testing versions of the game. All you have to do is get on the company's website and notice that they are looking for people to test their games all the time. Problem is they don't give you the whole game and usually are more concerned about the online part of the game then the actual single part of the game.

I tested Rising Sun for EA games though it only was made up of three levels and numerous bugs but that is how I came to be so good at the game now as far as online. I have been playing for a few more months then most people online. :D
