What a pretty yard you have

Postby Pie » Fri Oct 14, 2005 3:29 am

Alright.. as you can tell.. Ime making a post.. and if ANYONE ANYONE BITCHES ABOUT MY SPELLING, I WILL TICKLE YOU!!

Ok.. so my idea is to have yards around the Houses. These yards will be either:

1) ever expanding, and infinity of room

or

2) They have a sertain amount of space in the begening, and that space decreases with every building you put in.. such as.. A mud hut will not take up as much space as a Lighthouse.

And also.. on this yard.. you could build several different buildings such as.. you could build a Mud hut.. another mud hut.. and a question will appear asking you if you want that mud hut to be conected to the previous mud hut.. or to be a mud hut of its oun.

And there will not be an infinity of yards inside of the town squere, There will have to be a project to make a Road that you will be able to make more Yards on.

Think about this for a secont.. this will actually make Property more valuable, and theaving frome houses more posible.

1) ever expanding, and infinity of room

or

2) They have a certain amount of space in the beginning, and that space decreases with every building you put in.. such as.. A mud hut will not take up as much space as a Lighthouse.

And also.. on this yard.. you could build several different buildings, such as.. you could build a Mud hut.. another mud hut.. and a question will appear asking you if you want that mud hut to be connected to the previous mud hut.. or to be a mud hut of its own.

And there will not be an infinity of yards inside of the town square, There will have to be a project to make a Road that you will be able to make more Yards on.

Think about this for a second.. this will actually make Property more valuable, and thieving from houses more possible.

Come get me. :P

Making towns finite will make roadmap confused. Why have a certain sized dot for the town? As long as you can make buildings there, do it, to infinity. In theory, there already is a limit to how many buildings cam be made in certain types of locations, as was discussed in the "Easier place to live..." thread started by PIE.

I don't see what any of this has to do with thieving or your preoccupation with theft (other than my guess your thief got shut down), there's never been a need to sneak around the back of a building and swing over the walls on a rope to steal from someone.

Connecting buildings is interesting, however, it could lead to some confusing connections from one room to another, and perhaps be a way to bypass locks, which would be a bad thing.
Reality was never my strong point.

The life threatening is a little far....forum mods should hone in on that IMO.

Tickle? Banana? Cute.

Perhaps there should be an addendum to posting guidelines, something along the lines of: "If you don't want critisism or are unable to handle critisism, perhaps you should think twice about posting."

I think that property should somehow be more valuable, but this isn't really a good way to do it.
