Funeral rites and other corpse stuff
Currently you cannot do anything to corpses but to bury them. Even if you attack them through old events, the wounds won't appear on the corpse. There's one thing to change
Project disemboweling a corpse. Removing the internal organs slows down deterioration.
Project stuffing a corpse with herbs/wheat/rice/carrots/whatever. Or maybe you could even hide items there. Grains are a symbol of life/rebirth. And herbs help to preserve the body. But we could create our own customs, like... potatoes. Or daisies. And umm, using corpses as a storage, yeah... A gruesome storage.
Project closing the cut requires a needle and yarn. A one hour project.
And for the graverobbers who hold nothing sacred, opening the corpse (after which you could take the resources from inside, though some of them have probably rotted if it has been a long time.
Mummification... shrouds, resin?
Mutilating corpses, good to be used on and by criminals. At least beheading would be nice. I read about these islanders that used to remove the heads of corpses on custom, but the people who live there now claim that they have no knowledge of such customs.
Burying items with corpses, putting clothes and weapons, shields on corpses...
And we should be able to dig up corpses. Once a grave is fresh, it should be visible as a mound, then by time it flattens out and starts growing grass/moss. Just gotta remember that a year is only 20 days, so deterioration would be rather fast compared to real life. In some point there would be a skeleton. (Project opening a grave has been finished - then you get some small and large bones and maybe a skull. Or maybe the corpse stays in the grave unless you choose to examine it closer.)
I also think that we should be able to dig graves beforehand and drag corpses into them (and it should be possible for a single person). This would also allow making bigger corpses and putting several people in them (mass graves after massacres/plague; burying a couple of lovers side by side).

I like all these ideas, although my favorite ideas isn't there.
You see a man in his fourties use the body of a man in his twenties on Cooking a man.
- or -
You finish project - Cutting heart out of a man - 27 grams of heart ending up in the inventory of Flesheater
However, untill there is a project for sex, there should not be a project for necropheliacs. Living first, then projects for dead, otherwise it'll seem really creepy. I don't think Somefuge will mind at all though.

Reality was never my strong point.

Yeah. Hey, if it's going to be a society simulator, you ought to be able to replicate those sorts of things. I agree it's a bit gross, but that's just my own cultural perspective. I can at least understand the concept of eating someone post-mortem to honour their life, though that's not how I would choose to do it
