One little thing that has always bugged me about bodies is how their name turns white. I really think you ought to keep the dynamic naming going for bodies for two reasons:
1) A white name means they're dead, even if your character hasn't seen a body. It's a CR breach within the game's coding. You shouldn't be able to think back on a conversation and instantly know that that person you were speaking with is now dead.
2)Morgues are fairly useless if you can't point out which dead old guy is which to younger generations. No matter what, people who didn't name a person before they died will never be able to again, and I really doubt the average player wants to have to write down a list of bodies on a sheet of paper.
Dynamic naming for bodies.

Definitely a good idea. The only problem is codability - there's probably a reason that it doesn't already work this way.
With the recent (well, relatively so) change to hiding everything but the name on characters not in line of sight, there should not be an interface problem.
A good addition would be the ability to point to bodies.
My ideal interface system (would require some work beyond what has previously been suggested here):
If a character is out of your range of vision, clicking on the name in the Events page brings up the usual out-of-range page where you can enter the name of the character, and nothing else. This is the case whether or not the target character is alive.
If the character is in range of vision, and alive, you get the same screen you usually get.
If the character is in range of vision, and dead, you get a screen like the normal one, except it has only four buttons: name (description and name), point, drag and loot (see clothes and take them).
Looking at a body on the floor, you get the dynamic name link, with no buttons next to it.
