Something I'd like to add: all content will be accordingly attributed to the person who created it, therefore, put your (character and/or pen) name on any email, or how you'd like it to be credited when printed. Of course, it can remain anonymous.
Sunni, my understanding is that if there's no binding contract between you and your "publisher," especially since in this case it's not for profit, just for show, there should be no problem directly transferring it with your permission, with attribution.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit: From a prior page but for reference I'll put this up here:
Firstly, when submitting, make sure you include your real name, character name, and general location of your character (so we know where to place the story). Also, avoid setting particular dates (eg On 424-3)--instead, use the passing of time (e.g. back when I was twenty five, five days later, over the next few moments).
Good luck!
Okay, secondly, I'm just going to give a few suggestions on how to convey your story in terms of prose off the top of my head. I'm worried to the bone that if I don't say this, we may just be getting the same type of story in over and over, and wouldn't that be a bore? I'm also saying this before I've looked at any prose submissions, so this is broad and general, and so, obviously, is not directed at anyone.
Three very loud general tips, to make them clear:
1) SHOW, DON'T TELL.
2) BE SPECIFIC in your... (pinpointedly)
3) DETAILS! Details, details, details! (sounds, images, etc)
Being aesthetic with the writing won't hurt, either.
I. Story
Easiest bit to decide on. My suggestion is focus on one incident, one day(s), one town. Just think about the multitude of options in that...the amount of characters, buildings, dialogue...
II. Tense
I also suggest writing in the past tense...the present voice will get quite tiresome. A nice out of the norm one written in the future, or about the future might be an interesting concept. Otherwise, if you're writing about the past, here's a few ideas to keep things varied.
III. Point of View
You're going to be tempted to use your first person (character) style. Try the third person out, see how it works (i.e. from your player eyes, for instance). I doubt any of these pieces are long enough for this, but a change in narrator could be very effective. Actually, ignore that last bit. Wink Also, dialogue, or direct quotations, can provide other points of view. If it is clear who is talking and how, the attributive clause (he said, she cried, etc) can be eliminated through a clunk of dialogue to keep it moving quick. Stories slow down without dialogue. Don't forget to start each new speaker on a new line!
IV. Type of Prose
Not everything has to be a memoir or recollection. What about a (Cantr) newspaper styled article? A journalist's periodical? A short story with a lesson (e.g. fable, allegory)? A theatre script? A riddle?
V. Submission
Don't be afraid to give it a try...and don't be intimidated from sending it in! Just give it a few proofreads and try to use a spellchecker. If you're unsure about any technical stuff, google it or ask us here.... And also, we're looking for poetry and artwork just as well.

A note of clarification for anyone with a similiar question as Sunni's.
When you submit a piece of work to anywhere and it is published, unless otherwise stated, you are only giving them the right to publish it that once. Said company has no further say over what you do with that piece of literature.

West is rather inactive these days.... does anyone have knowledge of early western Nonirowk history?
I'd say I'm quite knowledged in the Eastern early history as well as TBR (BRT to be technical) history up to until I had no characters in it.
Maybe I should write something from Mason's P.O.V.?
Or do these things have to have been written IC? I'm not sure of the exact rules of this book.

No, it sounds fine, Nick. Go for it.
We're looking for any material (whether it is already IC or not, as well as solely meant for OOC) relating to Cantr, which are generally in the forms of micro-fiction, flash-fiction, poem or short story based (that is assuming all Cantr works are considered fiction).
