Yeah, I remember him... very dangerous person considering there were no crowbars when his reign of terror was about.

I have about two chars that are going to be villians.

One is currently waiting for some supplies before he will be known....
The other is actually planing some rather large that will change the face of this region that is if no one of the few that know his plans rat him out to the enemy, cant say anymore

The government is now just the whims of a few people. It truly fell when Agop went to sleep, Naron had problems that attracted the cars away, Sgt. One Eyed died, Captain Midgey left off to deal with things (and is still off in Xiria), and mostly now that General Sester Gartaf, Charlie Parker, Senecca Hawthorne, and Barney Funkle have the most power there and run the town. An empire's no good unless the empire truly leads and the rules are followed. And it's practically a criminal group with their people skills. Don't bother talking with new spawners, just spout that they broke the law and must die. Whatever happened to "Hey, I see you're new here. You are in the Alexian Empire. Please look at the laws, as you are breaking them. I understand you likely do not understand how things work here. I hope I can help you.". Actually trying to work things out. That's how it was when all Agop, Charlie, and Midgey were dealing with new people. Now it's just "You are breaking the law! Stop or die!". And then they take all the citizens resources and hoard them. No more citizen's quarters, no taking citizens to the outlaying regions within the empire, no effective manager of either citizen productivity or citizen recruitment, no building of tools or vehicles to improve the lifestyle.

The leaders have forgotten the mission. And those that haven't are thinking of a different mission. I suspect this is mostly the case. Frankly, I'm glad all the new spawns are killed. No more power to the now corrupt, ineffective, unproductive, merciless, no tolerance empire. The former glory is gone, and I wish death upon the lingering impression gone wrong.

First I hope they take out Alenz Hills. That would spice up the region.

Well, I see you don't know how the Empire is ran. Things are going back to the way they were under Emperor Alexi Romanov. Emperor Agop Pasdfui was an idealist who believed that things could go right by being the good guy. That is why I think the Empire fell apart was because he was too soft and that Sester left for Xiria to fight the rebels and Charlie tried to take over. When Sester returned with his men, Charlie knew he was screwed because he sent out Captain Midgey and the men loyal to him to find and kill Sester. Hawethorne got into the mix and so did Hildebrand and sided with Sester who then said he would support Hawethorne as the new emperor until Agop woke up. That didn't happen as they found Agop dead after Charlie finally gave up the keys. Then Hawethorne was made emperor. And then Nuess woke up. Major Funkle is under Sester's orders as well as are all the other Imperial Guardsmen in at least Ladvicitavoi. Hildebrand is in charge of citizen productivity and as I said things are going back to the way they were under Emperor Alexi Romanov and when the Empire was in a Golden Age.

And by the way, Captain Midgey and his men are dead. They were taken out by mercenaries from DoUrden Estates who wanted to get some revenge for the murder of their leader, Zak DoUrden.

I know exactly how the empire is ran. I just have different ideas of what works. And of how things were and should be. I see it now as far different than the golden age. Sester Gartaf is not Alexi Romanov.

I believe a soft approach is required to get people to join the empire initially.

My belief of the reason the empire fell apart is related to Agop falling asleep, Kugg neglecting his position, Sester being away, and Charlie holding the power to himself, or more from anyone as he didn't think of it as his, while not being an effective leader of the empire as a whole.

I know all about Midgey, and I'm dissapointed, that now, everyone else knows.

You are right that Sester Gartaf is not Alexi Romanov and he would never say he was. Sester has deep respect, loyalty, and love for Alexi as well as Nuess and Hawethorne. He doesn't like Charlie at all and in fact hates him for he believes the reason why the Empire fell apart was because of him. Sester thought that Agop was too soft. Agop wanted to make a deal with the Naronian Rebels which Sester totally disagreed with and thought that would be dealing with mere criminals. Something that Sester believed Alexi would never do. When Agop fell ill in Naron and didn't return for months, Sester decided to take the situation into his own hands and picked his best men adn left to deal with the Rebels who they were able to wipe out in Xiria Forest where Sester proceeded to build a strong outpost. That is when he learned that Alenz Hills was involved. Sester then fell ill (it was when I was off at summer camp) and the men that were with Sester left to see what was happening in the Empire. When they returned, Sester was better again and was told that Naron was in disarray and hd been attacked and that the outposts were abandoned and then decided to return to Ladvicitavoi. When he got there, Charlie ignored him and it was Hawethorne that said that he was being accused of treason. Form there was when Sester earned Hawethorne's support and was able to denounce Charlie. Sester then saw that the laws had been ignored in Lad. and saw total disorder which he thought spat upon the glory of Alexi Romanov and the Empire itself. That was when he decided to bring back order which pissed a lot of people off. I think the Empire is returning back to the ways it was once at.

Yes, I have forgotten about him. He wasn't the greatest of villians but he was one of the colorful villians to ever have existed. He didn't last long. Wu Tang was able to take him out but Al-Abhol did drive one of my characters to Northern Blit Forest where he met Tony Stewart and because of that is now 1st General of the Pratorian Guard and Tony's personal protector. There aren't too many characters left in the Commonwealth who would remember that time. That is probably why so many of them scoff at the strict laws that are in the Commonwealth.

Actually there is a note on the ground IC that explains what happened. But unless you were really looking for the history of blojt I don't think you'd understand exactly what happened with Al Abhol. It would take talking to someone who did I'm sure. And as someone already said, there are few people alive from that era.

I totally agree with .west. about the true great villains not being evil to the core.
With a few exeptions, such characters tend to be very boring.
(As long as they aren't rp:d in a very interesting way.)

I have no villains, but some have the potential to become villains if they gain power.

Exactly, but the point is that the Lad people are experiancing now is the "original" Lad, the "first version" and in my opinion the vastly superior one. And I can't keep this any longer since it was brought up, but Agop has been dead since about 550 or so, but it wasn't realised to anyone because it was known that it would cause more trouble, so it was conveniantly covered up until the time came when It was "safe". Only Senacca and Charlie knew he was dead until his body was "discovered", and only they know it now 8) . But the ultimate goals of the recent changes are to bring back Lads "golden years", but that is much harder now. When Lad was first formed the Empire had vast arms superiority, now things are more even in that area and more people are involved, so it's to be seen what actally happens.

Also, no one is Lad actally knows what happened to Midgey, he's just missing along with the car.

I don't really have any villain characters... but I have one who keeps little list of everyone who has ever hit her and the damage they dealt. The list is up to 5 people even though she's only 23. She hopes to kill each one eventually or at least repay the damage. No one really knows about this though... and she's fairly trusted most places.
