Postby Cdls » Wed Oct 05, 2005 8:26 am

I dont know if this has been brought up...pretty sure it has to have been, but dont know where to looks for that, but anyways, how about natural disasters? Floods along coastal areas, landslides next to mountain or hilly areas. Stuff like that.

 It has been. Many times.

I hate this, the point of cantr is person to person contact, this is just more crap that will detract from that.

Two types of Cantr natural disasters:

Thieves

Pirates

They have the same unifying effect as weather, but you can't saber a landslide.
Reality was never my strong point.

We don't even have weather (unless its RPed, in which case not many people take notice) so extreem weather is silly in my book.

Perhaps one day when 100,000 people play cantr and there are 500,000 characters...we could have nukes and destroy whole towns. Those will be a disaster

Also, granted, natural disasters are not person to person influences, but if a wild boar can kill a person, why can't a hurricane tear down a town, or a tornado destroy a few homes and kill a few people.

Maybe it can be natural but not a disaster? Like seasons for example, maybe it can rain in a town that makes farming faster.

Weather has been suggested multiple times, and approved.
Suggesting it again won't make it go any faster. Trust me. :)

Well we can try. I'd love to see weather, natural disasters...hold the nukes, though.

In fact, natural disasters might bring people closer together, to build shelters, flood walls and stuff like that. But the question is, how to implement it in a simple manner?
