I wonder if anyone interested in Bab-5 tho. I watched it for a while... I'm a Sci-Fi fan, what else could I do?

Yeah, well at least people are reading it, it has over 370 views...
And the point of this is to try to get more people interested in it :D
B5 tells a great story, you just have to watch it from the begining all the way to the end then you will say 'wow, i cant believe how good that was.'
Although I must admit, the first season's aliens look horrible :D but they get better in the second season and so on.

You should probably watch Firefly. It is a much better show. I think Babylon 5 gets dull from time to time. At least the regular episodes. The TV movies are usually good.

Oh, the best sci-fi TV movie ever is Children of Dune. That was great.

aint it always the case though.

Perhaps you oughta join the advertising deptment and try and get more people to play Cantr? I bet player numbers would surge if you did, judging by the way you promote B5

I have David Lynch's version of Dune, but never seen any of the other Dune films or books

Lynch's was the old 1984 film, correct? Or is he one who continued the series in books after both Herberts stopped writing them.

The new version made in 2000 for the sci-fi channel was really good and the sequel, Children of Dune, was awesome.

But the books are by far the best. Start out with Dune, written by Frank Herbert, and then read the trilogy called the The Children of Dune. The book series has great philosophy in it and great political intrigue. Has everything you expect in as good book and more.

I have seen Firefly, I watched every episode when they came out, I was sad to see that FOX cancelled them... although better than B5, I think not, or at least not from a story point. But yes, Firefly was a good show and I was sad to see it go... FOX didnt let it have the chance that it should have gotten. Another good show that the same creator of Firefly is Angel, its about a vampire with a soul, I find that show to be interesting and it carries the same humor as Firefly.

The storyline was sort of screwed up because FOX aired the shows out of order.

You might be happy to know that Firefly is coming back. Universal signed a deal with Joss Whendon to make Firefly into a movie and if that succeeds then bring the show to CBS or UPN. The movie is suppose to come out in late 2005.

And Angel is also a show by Joss Whendon who also includes credits for creating Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'm not much of a fan of Buffy or Angel but Firefly just had something to it that pulled you into the show. The characters were intriguing and played very well by the actors and I think the storyline was great but you missed things because FOX aired the shows out of order.

Another tidbit about Firefly. The shows are coming out on DVD which includes all the original aired shows and four other shows that never aired before FOX canceled. But the problem is that the it has already sold out on Amazon and it hasn't even come out yet. That has got to have sent a message to FOX.

Sebastian : "Why are you here, now, in this place, in this life?"
Delenn: "I was meant to be here."
Sebastian: "Meant?"
Delenn: "Yes."
Sebastian:"By whom?"
Delenn: "I do not know."
Sebastian: "Then how can you be sure?"
Delenn:"I don't know."
Sebastian: "No, you don't?"
Delenn: "Does it matter?
Sebastian: "What do you mean?"
Delenn: "If I believe I'm here now for a reason--"
Sebastian: "And if the world says otherwise?"
Delenn: "Then the world is wrong!"
Sebastian: "And Delenn is right? Perhaps the world is right and Delenn is wrong? Have you ever considered that? Have you?"
Delenn: "Yes. Sometimes."
Sebastian: "Then there may yet be hope for you"

Sebastian (to Sheridan): "What about the people you work with, the people you call friends? Are you willing to sacrifice them? What about your family, what about your God, what about truth, what about blood, what about right, what about wrong, what about your future, what about faith, what about sin, what about hell, what about death, what about life?"

Delenn (to Sebastian): "Stop! Your quarrel is with me. You were sent to investigate me. Let him go. If you want to take someone, take me."
"Well, well. A mutual admiration and sacrificial society."

Sebastian (to Delenn): "How do you know the chosen ones? No greater love hath a man than he lay down his life for his brother. Not for millions, .. not for glory, not for fame. For one person, .. in the dark .. where no one will ever know .. or see."

Sebastian (to Delenn): "At last, my job is finished. Yours is just beginning. When the darkness comes, know this: you are the right people, in the right place at the right time."

"The city was drowning in decay, .. chaos, immorality. A message needed to be sent, etched in blood, for all the world to see: a warning. In the pursuit of my .. holy cause, I .. did things, terrible things, unspeakable things. The world condemned me, but it didn't matter, because I believed I was right and the world was wrong. I believed I was the divine messenger. I believed I was--"
"Chosen?"
".. I was .. found by the Vorlons. They showed me the terrible depth of my mistake, .. my crimes, my .. presumption. I have done 400 years of penance in their service. A job, for which they said I was ideally suited. Now, perhaps, they will finally let me die."
"I think that might be wise."
"Good luck to you in your holy cause, Captain Sheridan. May your choices have better results than mine. Remembered, not as a messenger, remembered not as a reformer, not as a prophet, not as a hero, not even as Sebastian. Remembered only .. as Jack."
-- Sebastian to Sheridan

also from the same episode...

They lead you to believe that Sebastian was Jack the Ripper! Although they did not actually say it, but they greatly implied it.

The original Dune movie has two versions. The short theatrical version for people who have short attention spans (about two hours long) and a long director's cut version for people who really like the movie (about 4 hours long).

I feel sorry that you guys didn't understand the books because they were really good.
