Seals on Notes

Postby Savanik » Mon Sep 26, 2005 6:18 am

With the creation of a seal, you should be able to stamp notes with it. Once stamped, the note is no longer able to be modified in any way or copied.

This would allow for more secure communications than is currently possible, essential for building larger organizations.

Seals exist, though I'm not sure anyone's been able to make sealing wax. Yeah, the complete unavailability (as far as I know) of beeswax and resin is a problem.

We have infinite ink for our pens, you'd think we could put some of that on a seal and stamp a letter. :D

What are we to debate the realities of Cantr? Let us not question the wisdom of the powers that be, and rather delight in the serendipity of it all.

Mmm. Er, I need sleep. But anyway, it seems reasonable to me that a seal would take resources to make and use. But making those resources utterly inaccessible is silly. I've said this already, haven't I.

Whoa, wait - you can actually use seals to sign letters and not just envelopes?

How does that work? I couldn't find a reference to that process anywhere in the Wiki - just stuff about sealing envelopes.

I don't know if anyone has ever done it...if the logical guess that sealing wax is essential to the process is correct, I doubt the opportunity for research has ever come up.

Exactly, it's long possible, but it requires resources only available on undiscovered lands :) ...

I made a seal. I think it said I needed sealing wax to use it to seal something.

Ah ah ah!!! Finally, something better on the portuguese area than yours!
I HAVE found beeswax!!!

Now it's a pity no one has ever found the resources needed to make the seal, or anything that needs iron in fact... :(

:) ... Adding the crucial resources to already inhabited regions, because seals are too important for gameplay. Two of the three missing resources have been added - the third I'm still talking with the RD about.
