A new function that allows you to decide your looks?

Postby KiNG KiLL » Fri Sep 16, 2005 5:26 pm

Wouldn't it be cool if you could choose a characters looks when you create it?
I mean you could have certain choices, kind of like when you create characters in Sims or any sports game...?

-->A Neo Irony: OK, sorry, I'm pretty new here and i didn't see any topics regarding that matter. What has been said about it then?

--> Dee: Yep, I've been playing some! :) It's so fun to create characters and affect them in their behaviour and life choices. But all of a sudden I found myself bored with the game, nothing happened unless I made it happen. I miss events that I don't control myself, you know what i mean?
So I play it for a week at the time, then quit. Then start all over again half a year later... :)

I was just thinking a few minutes ago that maybe you get your looks from the area you live in. For example, if I spawned in the desert I might have either black or brown skin. The rest could be randomized (hair, eye colour...). Because when you think about it...in real life you don't really get to choose what you look like.

a) That should have been posted in the other thread.
b) That has been suggested; a full-blown genetic system for appearance has been all but accepted, I think.

I play too, sometimes! When I get that urge to build! Or make chars run around and act stupid! Or... as you said earlier, Dee, when I don't have a net connection!

And on the concept of the looks thing... you basically just have to use your imagination for that... I prefer to do that anyways ;)

I tried the Sims because I wanted something to play when there's no net connection as well, (I solved this problem just yesterday now that clearwire is available in my area! Now I can play Cantr in the car and at work!!! HAHAHA! *teases everyone who can't* LOL anyways...) but then I tried the trial of the Sims online and that was fun. I love slot machines and there isn't much here where I live so that's what I like about the Sims online. The thing I like the most is that my mom and I can play together and since we live 18 hours away it's the next best thing to visiting (which I can't do right now because the hurricanes that hit there).

When I get people to play Cantr it's just my luck they never spawn with any of my characters so then it's hard to get them to like it. They don't know anyone, they complain that they have nothing...blah blah blah. I convince them how fun it is, but they would still like to meet some of my characters. It is a tease when there character is like 3 towns away from mine. I want to scream I am coming meet you! or come meet me!, but I know better. *sighs* :P

LOL Yeah...it sucks in comparison to Cantr at times, but like I said it's fun just chatting with my mom and slotting. She loves to gamble just as much as I do. lol

I was told the Sims 2 was better than the Sims online. If they would combine the two maybe it would be better and great for offline and on I guess. *shrugs* Doesn't matter. School, work, Cantr, and my kids take to much time for me to devote hardly any of it to the Sims.

The SIms is actually an inspiration for Cantr ;) ... Although I find the game utterly boring, I love building those houses etc. When you read the roadmap for Cantr, though, you should think of the Sims ;) ... The game of Cantr with the graphics of the Sims, that would be pretty cool :) ...

I agree!!!!!!!

On the Sims Online, they NEVER stay in character.. They do not RP... It's just a chatroom... THAT SUCKS! LOL.

Ok, I'll stop now... Before you kick me or something.
