Yeah, for some of the fates its pretty obvious how useful it will be... for others, well you have to be more creative. To some extent its up to you guys how useful these fates are... I mean you could be given a really powerful fate and use it badly, or be given a "weak" fate and use it with finesse, doing things with it that I never considered

Thanks Fleegle, I presume then Tek can use his fate on Ao, Briker and now Beelzebub. I hope he does find a use for it though, 10 year reunion perhaps?

Well I don't want to overstep my bounds as game master, but one use I have thought of for Tek's skill was that if at some point it were advantageous to split up, you could keep other members of your party apprised of whatever situation you encountered. I liken your skill to having a radio in a world where there are no radios. You alone have the power to instantly communicate with someone, regardless of how far away they are.

He's not limited to just PC's right? Can't he also use it on gods or wizards or demons that he's met?

Speaking of fates, I've been making a list of all the PC's and their fates along with a list of gods and their domains. I read and reread Audidra's gift from Nioss, but it never specifically named her ability. Is it something like temporary hypnosis or blindness?

I only ask because, well, now would be a good time for her to use it.

I limited Tek's ability to creatures of the Muck... now there may be other creatures of the Muck out there that aren't PC's... to be quite honest I haven't decided yet.
As for Audirda, her fate is Radiance... you may be confused because it wasn't Nioss who told her what her fate would be. Dietris told her her gift before she went in the ocean, but it was Nioss who made it "surface". It's a bit different than the arrangement with Ilosep.

Now, Radiance may not seem very useful in this situation... but consider that the beings in the village are fearful, and any display of supernatural powers would have a profound effect on them...

This world has a lot of room to grow and it feels like we have only scratched its surface. As a player, I'm just trying to understand as much of it as I can as we go along.

Yes, in my mind the world is quite expansive and I have quite deliberately not set any real limits on the size of the land.
Part of the fun about this game, I imagine, is not knowing what you're going to encounter next. It helps that the gods aren't all-knowing and are sometimes pretty useless (and sometimes they are deliberately elusive question-dodgers ).

I was waiting for a certain somebody to join the game, but that person has not made an appearance, so in the interests of fairness I'm letting someone else who has expressed a definite interest into the game. I have let McManus into the game.
