New Hunting Form

Postby the_antisocial_hermit » Wed Sep 14, 2005 10:02 am

First off, kudos, love the new hunting form. :D

Now the reason I'm posting in here about it:

Some of my chars with bone clubs can hunt with the bone clubs on this new form and some cannot. Same goes for one of my chars with a longbow that can, while another cannot. It just doesn't show up as an option at all for them. The only option they have is their bare fist. And I noticed it doesn't seem to have anything to do with how used the weapon is (which I'm sure it shouldn't anyways, but just a thought that occurred to me to check), as one of the non-useable weapons is brand new and another is used.

I have no clue what any of this signifies, but thought you needed to know. If you want me to email details for whatever reason, just let me know what and I will.

Thanks ;)

Two of my chars couldn't use their bone knives for hunting, while a third could, I couldn't see any reason for this. Just ask if you want details.

Other than that this is a great change :D

This is a small bug being fixed as I type. It only effected Characters with only one weapon other than their fists.

EDIT: After reading next post - It's not me who fixed it :) but thanks anyway

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to kill an animal if there is just one left. There doesn't seem to be a checkbox next to the animal if that is the case.

I believe just clicking on the attack button should do it .
If that doesn't work then let bugs@cantr.net know

Note that there is no checkbox if you've already hunted that group of animals within the last day. No more red error messages for forgetting what you did last night.

The most awkward: Coming back after a 10+ year hiatus and swearing I'd never come back.

Wow, individualization! (That is what happened, right? I'm just guessing based on what's being posted.) Awesometastic. Is domestication far behind?

EDIT: Okay, maybe not. Still a cool change, though.

This is normal. If you can not hunt (you have already hit that pack of animals once durring the day) you will not have a checkbox to select them.
If you can not hunt any of the animals you will not see the hunting form just the list of animals.
Wow, individualization!

Sorry no

I am still having the problem of the bare fist being the only option to attack. My character has a bone knife, but is unable to use it, the only option I have is to use my fist.
