Why is it locks for boats work on land but they don't work when someone is docked to you?
This way if they are friends both boats need to be unlocked for any boarding to happen. If they're Pirates, it's time for them to stop being lazy. Make some damn crowbars ya moochers!
Oh please, not another boat suggestion...

BUMP
I know there's a topic about this somewhere else but I can't find it and I just want to get it out there.
Can we PLEASE have a consensus vote on this utter nonsense about docking to boats THAT ARE ALREADY DOCKED to land and being able to bypass their lock for free.
Yes, you're damn right I'm mad because it happened to me. I'd be less steamed about losing a hard earned fortune while sleeping if the thief who took it actually had to work for it. But they didn't even need a crowbar. A dinghy was all the investment they needed.
REQUIRE a crowbar to get past locks. Make it work both ways. That's all that needs to happen and the whole mess would be solved. I don't want my fortune back magically, I'll find the thief myself to do that. But I would like to stop this from happening in the future to other people.
Please, PrgDept. Make this small change. It would balance the game mightily.

I've lost a soarer and a raker to opportunist thieves with dinghys... despite having the utmost available security. They won't be able to break into my storage dinghy, because I bet they don't have a crowbar... but still...
If you allow docking to docked boats, make it necessary to break the lock before boarding. That simple.
