Sneezing Corpses?

Postby Talapus » Sun Sep 04, 2005 6:41 pm

This happened just now in Sjoftich Hills (east).
I logged on just after the hour (before sneezing happened), and when I logged on later that hour (so no projects could have happened yet) a number of people had sneezed, including a white name (no orange hyperlink). At first I thought that perhaps that person had just sneezed, and then died without giving the normal dieing message. I then looked on the ground, but there was only a body of a man (and the white sneezer was a women), so then I looked at the project page and noticed that there were no burial projects. What this boils down to, is that someone who has died (and perhaps been buried), or someone who doesn't exist has sneezed. I don't know what caused it, and it is not a game changing bug, but is is something that should be fixed (whatever is wrong) when someone has a chance.

There has been a change to how deaths where the character dies before they do anything at all , are treated, in that they now don't leave a body anymore . I'm sure this is your Sneezing Ghost but will look further into it.

Have you considered that the body could have been dragged away?

Ah, your character is just hearing things. It must have been the wind or something. :-P

Someone could catch a disease, and die.
They wouldn't leave a body, which would explain the fruitless search for one.
