If we did it that way, the PD would have a heck of a lot more work to do. It's so easy to make those descriptions stupid and inappropriate.
Just because you're older, smarter, stronger, more talented... doesn't mean you're BETTER.

I agree.
I think it would have to be dropdown lists of things you can choose from for the different kinds of things like: Hair length/colour, eye colour, ect...
OR
Based on where you character is spawned

Also, if you use the 'type your own' approach, you're going to have a lot of supermodels running around. I think it'd just be nice to keep it simple and have three drop down menus when you create the character. One for hair color, one for eye color, and one for height. Those three things are extremely static on a person, unless Cantr develops high heels, contacts and hair dye. Things like weight and hair length change far too often to implement in a way that won't confuse the hell out of everyone.

I love this idea! :D

I also think that there will be running around a lot of super models if they can deside by them selves. Randomized hair- and eyecolours! :)

Maybe beards and stuff like that?

I believe it was determined that these traits would be genetic, as in, they have to do with what the people look like in your spawning town.
I'm not sure if the gene pool involves the whole town, or two randomly selected "parents".
The latter would be cooler.

I agree with that. A stats page at character creation. But all kinds of stats could easily appear on that page. Several hair and eye colors, height, and body type should be there as well: skinny; athletic; muscular; somewhat overweight; obese.

As long as this topic has been dragged back up, if weight were ever to be a factor, I don't think it should be selectable, rather, influenced by what you eat. That way I can discriminate against those damned fat bastards eating all the sushi and sitting on their piles of iron. *shakes fist* Though I doubt that would happen, ahaha. How is sushi anyway? I've never seen any. (In game, that is.)

It tastes like potatoes.

Those are ideas that have been discussed before. Maybe if programming feels like working on it. :D

Tastes like potatoes? Is that a hint?

Rice, seaweed and fish, with a kitchen table. I believe.

I believe what he was saying is that there is no reason IG to eat sushi. You mine as well dig up potatoes, as the taste quality has no bearing on your health, or anything, really.

No but maybe it was a hint towards it nutritional value. Maybe you eat 100g of sushi in one day?

DESCRIPTIONS!

Give me them now!

This is a great idea. When could we expect such a thing?

Again, it's going to really serve no in game purpose until it's implemented alongside genetics. Not, as the topic suggests, upon character creation.

I like the idea of having the facial features and color of eyes or hair based on place of birth...

Just as most of Americans are blonde and most of Egyptians are brunettes....

And they definetley should be programmed, not RPed.

Not true. I'd say brown hair is the most common.
