Image Upload

It really is a bummer having to email the images to the programming department, only to have to wait about 3 days until they get uploaded... And for cartographers who like to frequently update their maps, this can be really annoying... I think their should be an upload button on the player page (where all your chars are displayed) - which would not only make it easier for the players wanting to use images to use them, but would also take work from the programming department - which, frankly, has enough work what with all the suggestions they have to deal with. I thing there should just be an "Upload Image(s)" button on the main player page - that should link to an upload form, where the player can enter the addresses of JPG images on their computers -or- on the internet. Once the player has uploaded at least one image, there should also be access to a list of all the images uploaded by them - they can delete images they no longer use, and get the URLs for the images they want to use in notes.

No!

Because even though it can be delayed - I'd rather a submission for an image came via a staff member... for fairly obvious reasons I'd have thought (not just CR breaches...)
Whoever you vote for.

...The reason it takes so long is because you mailed your images TO THE WRONG ADDRESS.

pictures@cantr.net

Not programming@cantr.net

NOT programming@cantr.net

I upload the pictures, and sending them to programming, well, you'd have to wait for someone to forward them off. In that case, you're lucky it hasn't been a week so far.

:? If it isn't programming@cantr.net then I suggest you update the FAQ...

I still don't see why the proposed system should not be implemented...

I don't have the ability to update the FAQ. Sure, I wrote it, but it's stuck there. That's why we have the Wiki, it makes the FAQ look like a lollipop.

Anyway, see this topic:
