I agree. I like Cantr to be unrealistic in the ways that you can do pretty much whatever you want, but realistic to where everything you do, would be physically possible in real life.
And, I support the skill system as it is. A little more randomness would be nice, but I think charries should get better at things they do often. Otherwise, Cantrians would be like a bunch of robots running around with equal skill.
I have used this arguement before, and got flamed, so I will probably get flamed again.
If you were to play golf with Tiger Woods, you would have little to no chance of beating him, even if you had the best clubs in the world and he the worst.
Skills are very much a part of realism and should be incorporated. The Roman Legions were as successful as they were because they trained and trained and trained some more. I believe there was an account where a legion (which are about 4,500 men strong, due to injuries and such) was ambushed by a force about 5x as large. Due to tactics and skill, they crushed the other force. If there were no skill, the legion would have no chance.
As for the discussion of people revering, and worshiping moderators, you were somewhat correct. However, people still flame me, and call me gay indirectly. Go ahead, I generally just shrug it off or thank them for their lovely, upbuilding comment.
A few passing comments as I pass by.
