Instead of reading through 10 pages. I'm going to do a recap. Pie, what exactly are you saying? That creationism the way the bible says it is is correct? Or are you one of those "intelligent design" creationists.

With those questions asked, I'll be honest with ya, I think creationism is a buncha junk. Leading creationists at the time the bible creationist theory was made also thought the world was flat and the Earth was the center of the universe. Those have been proven wrong and are now laughed at. As creationist's thinking the Earth is 15,000 years old will hopefully be laughed at in the future too.

I don't know if Moses thought the Earth was flat. But the theory back then was that the Earth was flat and was the center of the universe.

Frankly, I doubt Moses gave a thought to the shape of the world. I only asked because you claimed he did.

It is an assumption.

Just like your assumption that Moses existed.

Actually the idea that the earth was flat was pretty roundly refuted thousands of years ago...ancient Greeks and Romans had even calculated its approximate circumference.

The idea that by Columbus' time everyone still thought the world was flat is a myth perpetuated by American education, due to its use as cirriculum a childrens' book by Washington Irving which stated that inaccuracy.

Anyway, Pirog, I'd like to see you prove to me that any of the following existed: Julius Caesar, Douglas Adams, yourself, me. In any order you choose

Missed the point. He is (I assume) pointing out that 'reality' is quite impossible to prove. You have nowhere to start from.

It's taking a lot for granted to assume your senses portray what really exists at all, though I can't see any possible use in not assuming it...other than making fun arguements.

The closest thing I've heard to a proof that anything at all exists is Descartes' "I think therefore I am"...and even there he's postulating that to think, one must exist...which sounds very reasonable, but you can't prove it.

Started the Protestant Reformation? Tacked a large number of theses to a church door? As opposed to Martin Luther King Jr? I admit, I'm not sure I learned that before high school, but. *snrk*

Even if I didn't know already...you know about a thing called google? It will, amazingly, direct you to large amounts of information when you feed in famous names. Though I imagine it helps to spell them correctly...

As for reality, the question is: What assumptions are you using to reason from? Because...for one, it's likely that the same assumptions that lead to 'Julias Caesar existed' also lead to 'new forms of life have formed on earth since life began' and maybe even 'all modern life on earth developed from ancient sea life'.

yes.. but we also assum that "anything that has no proof canot be stated as a fact" as it is always put in the school system. I personally will not beleive somthing that has no proof.

OK. You won't believe something with no proof.

So...prove that something exists. Anything, I don't care what. From scratch though...no cheating by assuming that something else exists.

Or do you mean that you don't believe that anything exists?
