I have quite alot to say on this issue. But, learning from past mistakes... should I say it publicly, or in private? If I just post it here, I know I'll end up slandering the PD... and that benefits no-one.

And there's always the chance it could all be solved amicably...

If it is really slander, yes, it is wiser to email me directly :) ... If I think some other people should know about it, I'll forward it, and if it should be published, I'll suggest that to you. But mail me first :) ...

At Saturday I sent mail with question about CR to Communication Dept. However, I realized later that Player Dept. is apropriate to my problem so I send to them too. Later I received message, that my mail to CD was forwarded to PD.

Today is Tuesday and I still haven't got any reply to my mail. How long does it take do receive answer from PD? Or maybe PD is like Cantr (slow paced :)?

How long is it reasonable to wait for a response from the PD?

Between several minutes and several days. Activity level often seems to fluctuate considerably in this department, so patience is requested. Especially in the summer. Also, the chair of this department is currently on a hiatus, so that makes some issues more difficult to address. (discussion required within the department before an adequate reply can be made)

However, if your email is not responded to in a few days, please resend it. Sometimes they get lost after the next hundred or two come in.

Which is about the most impressive thing I've seen :) Just kidding. But seriously, since you mentioned it publicly, I'd like to note that you've been doing very well.

I was contacted by the PD recently. They said, "You're in, now go get me some coffee!"

This topic is very old, but I needed to rescue it for my studies as aspirant to Players Department. Because I woke up today with the following thought and the reading of this discussion I thought quite useful...

The Age of Nations one day will arrive, earlier there, later here. The places will join mainly under cultural criteria (linguistic) and they will look for common objectives, under a centralized leadership. Then, the leader, be King or President, he will be interested in obtaining the cooperation of all his vassals or citizens, anywhere and anyone they are. Perhaps, even if indirectly, a same player's characters will have to answer to a same common interest. How will the interpretation of the Capital Rule be? Or will Cantr II be eternally convict to just allow heaps of independent city-states?
Cantr II is a social simulator. What is not working is due a problem in the society.
Cantr is like Vegas - what happens in the game should be in the game.

I personally don't ever see any organisation in Cantr expanding beyond 10 towns maximum with the current system.. but if it did, my personal opinion is that it would not be a CRB - it can't be! It would be out of character to do anything else.

Most characters aspire to have a shield, weapon and vehicle, perhaps a home too.

If an organisation required characters to aspire to making the organisation bigger, I don't see how that's a CRB either.

Just my opinion. ;)
