It depends on the state I think. Back home, a 17 year old having sex with an 18 year old is statutory rape (even if the 18 year old is a girl, and even if it is consentual). A high class felony.

I depends. Go to California and it'll probably less strict but go to Mormon lands like Salt Lake City, having sex outside of marriage is considered a high class felony.

I remember reading somewhere about a state where it is illegal to have sexual intercourse outside of marriage. I have forgot what state it was but I think it was a Mid-West one.

But you have to remember that in terms of culture it varies state by state and region by region in America. I've been down South and I feel like a foriegner down there because we speak very different (it's soda, damn it, not pop), do very different things, and live very different lives.

I remember that Superbowl thing with janet Jackson. The whole of america went raving mad. But when a regular Nivea advert went out over here showing a far clearer picture of a womans niple, no one cared.

People in the south of the US can speak better than the northerners? Explains so much.

Pop.

Actually, not really. Just the media went bad. Most people didn't care. The media even did a poll asking if people cared and I think it was like 90% didn't.

I don't get what you're getting at. Unless you're being sarcastic.

I think people objected to the fact that it was Janet Jackson's nipple more than the fact that it was a nipple. Because she's kind of scary, but hey, nipples!

If it had been Lindsay Lohan (pre-anorexia, post-turning-18 ) nobody would have minded.

Oh, and it's soda.

I use the words pop, soda, and cola, just depends on how Yankish I feel on any day  Plus, I've been in every state east of the Mississippi and I've used them all at one time or other so I dont' give much thought to it.
