I have to go with the sabre, not only is it stylish and dangerous, but it's also got the best damage to weight ratio of any weapon. As powerful as the crossbow is, and even though it was my own idea, it is my least favorite because it's too heavy to be practical for traveling on foot. I'd rather use that weight for healing foods.

I like the bastard sword. The character I have with the bastard sword has never actually used it, but the pictures I've seen of them are pretty cool. And pretty huge.

I would like to see you see you wield two bastard swords. it is hard enough to wield one in your main hand, and wielding one effectivly (more then just holding it) in your off hand, especially when you need to coordinate with your main hand is beyond almost everyone. You would have to be an freaking ogre to make it even possible. Normally when people wield two sword, they use small swords (or sword and axe for nice shield hooking action) because you can swing them well with boths hands and they don't usually get in the way of each other (butterfly swords are great). Anyway, my favorite cantr weapon would have to be the claymore. It might not be the strongest weapon, but it goes through shields well, and I just like the idea of the warrior with the large sword hanging across his back.

I refere to the shorter japanese bastard swords the tachi, which were nearer the longsword than the two handed sword cantr doesn't have this type of blade but I imagine their blade to be similar, mainly due to the amount of steel used compared to a claymore and longsword. (There's about a foot difference in the blade). Longswords are quite easy to dualweild if you have learnt to use two katanas(japanese longsword) or two tachis(japanese bastard sword). A bastard sword is designed to be wielded in one had with the option to use the other when parrying. I can dismemeber a pig with two longswords and hit moving targets with suffient force to dent their armour with both.
