depends what boat, cannoes can only go on a lake, and long boats and such can go on a sea. i dont think a harbor would really affect the boat. i could be wrong.

One of my characters left Siom and sailed away from shore, been sailing for years and years... only blue seas all around him. For some time, it looked as if I hit the end of the map. My little orange dot in the middle of the map and the blue color was a slightly different shade on the left than the right side... but now the whole map is the same color blue.

Will I ever see land again?

I have enough food to keep sailing the same direction forever, I just hope it really won't be forever.

Is the world round or will I fall off the edge?

Or must I just learn this myself as I eat my last potato and see the seagulls circling?

That should be implemented. Like swimming over the ocean. But you need a bunch of healing food to keep up your stregnth. You see? You lose stregnth every turn, and to keep swimming and not drown you need to replenish it.
