Is the key to perfection(or happiness or whatever) balance?

nooooo.

If I was balanced, what fun would I be?

Being balanced just leads to boredome....

becaus If you compleatly ballanced, that means that you cant have happines, so the only way to have happyness is to allow emotions to overcome you. Like, i saw the movie click just yesterday... man it made me laugh, cry, and it made me cringe at the vulgarity of it all.

Yes, Pie, but perfection implies, in most cases, immutability. A perfect being does not change his state.

And if you say that God will fix everything to make it work, then he's changing his mind about how things should be... and if he's going to do that ever, then why doesn't he just fix everything now and end the perpetual suffering of mankind?

According to the Bible, after he destroys the earth in the battle of Armageadon, he well then rebuild the earth and build the "New Jerusalem" on it. Jesus Christ will reign as King over the whole earth, and there will be no sin on it. It will be God's Kingdom, and it will be for the Jews. Everyone who was saved that is not a Jew, like me and other people who have chosen to accept Crhist as their Saviuor will live in mansions in Heaven, but we will be alowed to travel and visit the New Jerusalem whenever we want. So yes, it will be a physical place, but will also have spiritual beiings living there. There will be no sin or corruption and it will be a perfect place, just like Heaven is now.

*Edit* The reason God does not change the World now and make it that way, is because the World is damned from sin, and must be destroyed before it can be rebuilt and be made perfect. When man sinned he damned the whole World, and the only way to escape from eternal damnation in hell yourself, is to repent before God and accept Christ into your heart.
Every action has a consequence.

A perfect being isn't necesarilly someone who dosen't need to change becaus of his perfection. It's someone who has the will and ability to change as the time needs, to choos the best possibal conseavable answer to the problem at hand.

nooooo. first, of ALLL. jesuses rain is for 1000 years. then stuff happenes, but I'm not so sure. AAAAND, weve talked about how god changing his mind dosen't necesarily mean he isn't perfect, although he did limet his infinit-ness when he created us and allowed us to have free will..

it just means he has the compation and foresite to change his plans, plans that were perfect at the begening, but now there is a better plan, so he changes his plan becaus he has just found a better one, wich dosen't say the first one was perfect, in it's time, it's just gotten old.

and now I feel as if I am rambeling.. oh well.

and the sun might not blow up as soon as you think, and there might not be really big eartquakes to much, we don't know.

so.

No, that wouldn't be perfection. Perfection, as a state of existence, implies independence from outer conditions. A perfect being relies on nothing but itself. As such, no external setting can possibly cause it to need to change its condition.

But, someone can't be perfect without having a world, or something els exist to act on that perfection. It's like the first and secont levels of ability.

Such as me. I have the first level ability to speak english. I have the secont level ability to speak rusian, meaning i could, it's posibal for me to speak russian, but I haven't learned it, so i don't speak russian.

God has the secont level ability of perfection, he just needs to act it on something, se he needed to make the univers, so he could act it out.

that's my brothers reasoning coming out in me.

So god made the world, and he used his secont level ability of perfection, making it a first level ability of being perfect, and since he gave the world free will, and the world changes, so to he had to change. Like social services. It was a pretty good idea back in the 30's, but now it's really taxing america. So god had to change things, like, he had to boot adam out of eden, he had to manafest himself in a form of finiteness and myrter himself...

yep.

Alright, let's define 'perfection'. I can think of three helpful definitions, either
a)All powerful
b)Capable of sustaining itself regardless of outside conditions
c)Fulfillment of every possible goal without any flaws or setbacks in the face of any amount of adversity.

Of course, 'c' can be branched out into two, one implying that the amount of adversity must be finite, and one stating that it can be infinite or not, it doesn't matter.

As far as 'c' goes (the perfection I was referring too, and sorry for the confusion), I think the answer is yes.

You need to have a balance between happiness and sadness or happiness becomes meaningless and turns to boredom.

You need to have a balance between order and chaos, as too much of the former leads to a void of creativity and free will and too much of the latter leads to anarchy, an environment in which it is almost impossible to accomplish any but the most basic tasks (i.e. survival).

You need a balance between Body, Mind and Soul to be a good person. With too little Body, you are weak and unproductive, incapable of carrying out plans developed by the Mind or fulfilling the intentions of the Soul. You must rely on others to do your work for you, and convincing them to do so can be difficult.

Without enough Mind, you are incapable of forming your own plan of action. You may want to do what's best for you or for another, but you won't be able to figure out how to do that. You'll have to rely on someone else to make the plan for you, and you can bet that it will benefit them more than it will benefit you.

Without enough Soul, you can never be truly happy because you can't be trusted (as you are amoral and back-stabbing), won't have friends, and will probably develop extreme paranoia. There's also an intangible feeling that I know I feel (can't speak for you) when I'm doing something good.

You need evil, because without evil there is only good, so choosing good is inevitable and thus no test of your compassion or sense of justice.

Pie, to be perfectly frank, you wouldn't be boring if you were balanced. You CAN achieve balance by eliminating the dis-balancing parts, but I think it is better to add than to take away. Instead of removing eccentricity, just balance it with hyper-productivity.
