Well because I knew it had a name, since I read it 30 times in the thread, but when it came time for me to post my reply. I couldn't remember what it was and the back button was just 3 inches to far for my tastes so I just improvised.

Bah, c'mon my fellow Americans! A little pride for our way of spelling over here! It's theater, honor, tomatoes, center, and the "h" in herb is silent! Didn't we fight a war over this or something?

@Swymir: Well, most of it was an answer to the words already brought up. If I'm correct, you're thinking of Eddie Izzard's stand up routine where he was bashing American-English for not pronouncing the "h" in herb.
Anywho, guilty as charged on that one reference, although I think it's an appropriate usage. After all he's British too, and I am arguing against British spelling.
I haven't heard the Welsh comment anywhere else tho.
