The problem is that those two are rather unbalanced. The tossed salad hugely favors one or two areas like Garden and maybe Baaak, and is impossible on the Siom island altogether, as far as I kow. The potato salad favors cow cultures such as the Drojf coast and maybe Baaak again, and ignores large areas with too little milk from only the odd goat and suchlike, or sometimes no milk at all. Same with eggs.
Please bear in mind that such additions to the game in current conditions can potentially have huge strategic impacts. Why favor the same old handful of towns over and over again?
What about a nut dressing for potatoes?

Actually, we are not quite finished with all the ideas in this area. Your point is taken that these recipes favor certain areas, but with very good reason. A lot of recipes are going to be implemented over the next few months that are tailored to particular regions. This will surely add some real RP flavor to regional diets, much like real life. This has already happened a little bit thanks to the efforts of the good characters of Tirqci and Brunoi who despite of the "pointlessness" of pizza and cookies have perservered to make them for the hell of it anyway.
So will everything be efficient everywhere? No. Should it be? No. I don't think so. A lot of players think so. Hopefully we can help take one more step away from vanilla cantr into something a bit new and colorful.
And - as always - if RD begins to create new horribly inefficient food implementations, just continue to bitch about it like you all have and we will consider fixing it. I am a kind and benevolent RD chair, open to suggestions and constructive criticisms.
Please be patient for a bit longer until I have a free weekend with no IC politics to suck up my free time

and the energy to write up the new recipes and add them.
