You think you are cute? Fair enough. Stop spamming it, it's attention seeking if you ask me. This is what I am talking about. That combined with the thoughts is off putting, and when it's a massive wall of text of self promotion and LOOK AT ME bs, it just makes me want to leave.
This.
Also, you can't spew stuff like that out there and then just say "this is for my benefit, and you can't act on all the ooc info/inner thoughts I just forced upon your char anyway, so there". Setting the scene, etc is lovely, but the stuff BosBaBe mention? Just keep it to yourself.
I have no issues with long emotes that are well done. However I am not going to claim that one style is better than the other. To me, it all comes down to the rhythm of the rp (I don't know how else I can explain it) and if their rhythm is in harmony with mine (despite the differences between styles), then that's what I really enjoy.
I'm a one liner myself, my posts usually free from emotes, and I don't give a damn about whether that's good enough or not. There are a couple of players who make me want to write better quality stuff, and I do put extra effort into one of mine, but that doesn't mean I end up posting several lines of text; my posts just turn more expressive and soulful instead.
