More hats!
So I thought a cowboy hat and a bowler hat would be a nice add to the wardrobe of Cantr.
I thought of making different types of cowboy hats: A leather one, a grass one (or implement a new material: straw, made by drying grass.), and maybe one made by wool. (Felt, which most cowboy hats are made of, is made of wool.)
So: As an example:
Leather cowboy hat:
1 day
300 grams of leather
scissors, needle
Straw cowboy hat:
1,5 days
300 grams of grass (or straw)
Needle, knife
Felt cowboy hat:
1 day
300 grams of wool
scissors, needle
And:
Bowler hat: (also made of Felt)
1,5 days
300 grams of wool
(Maybe 50 grams of leather or something like that, as reinforcement?)
scissors, needle.

Re: More hats!
I would kill for a Fedora. Nothing is worse then taking the time and expense and spending it on a suit and not having anything nice for a hat really other then a flat cap. I want a fedora!

Okay, something like:
Fedora:
1,5 days
300 grams of wool (Because also a felt hat)
(maybe 20 grams of silk or something like that, for a ribbon around the "crown" of the head)
tools: scissors, needle
Oh, and, please don't kill me for this

Re: More hats!
I'd prefer felt got added as a resource and these hats would use that. Wichi said it could use the curing tub because that currently doesn't have too many uses and most tailors are likely to have it anyway. So instead of weaving, you would take a bunch of wool and a small amount of water (it needs to be scaled down to Cantrian gathering rates, so for example 100 grams for a day's project), use a pot as a tool to simulate heating some of the water and end up with felt you could use for various things that currently use wool cloth.

I don't disagree with this
It would be nice if it would be possible to make it from different resources too, though, maybe... I'm not too sure about how felt is made exactly, but maybe with cotton, too?

Re: More hats!
I don't know if cotton can be used to make felt because only animal and synthetic fibres are mentioned, but fur can be used to make felt in a process called carroting.

So agree with this.
something like:
4 day(s)
300 grams of silver
bronze or steel peen hammer
pair of pliers
bronze or iron chisel
work bench
"A wreath of shiny silver leaves that graces the head, imparting a noble air."
