Re: CantrSpy 2.8
I believe it count's the number of characters in the character names, and if it exceeds some number, it just show the "you have x active characters" text.

Like if I'm not at my computer, the icon is teeeny, and I can't tell if I have any notifications.
So could there maybe be an option to have a pop-up window that has a giant number on it, or maybe it's just blank until you have notifications? And then it's like "Char X, Y, and Z have new events!" or w/e?
Yes. I know it's been many months since I said I'd implement this, but I still plan to.
Snickiedoo wrote:If CantrSpy in the toolbar has a number of four or less, it should show you all of your characters that have activity when you over it with the mouse. I know that SOMETIMES when it says 3 or 4 it'll give you the "x active characters" message and you'll have to look for it manually.
I will implement this too, when I get the time.

Indeed, because there is a limit to the length of tooltips.

Re: CantrSpy 2.8
I know it's not the right thread, but I don't feel like digging and looking for the right thread.
Tick timings
This is about twelve IG minutes ahead of before, which adds up because every IG minute is five RL minutes, 5*12=60, and there are sixty RL minutes in a RL hour, Daylight Savings Time.
Tick timings
Snickie wrote:Here's what I have so far from old ticks:
Animal attacks: 2x–1:[05,09]
Eating: 0:28
Projects: x:24
Land travel: x:17
Sea travel: x:13
Heart attacks (from inactivity, not unsubbing): 6:31
Here's what I have so far on new ticks:
Animal attacks: 2x:~34
Eating: 0:16
Projects: x:11
Land travel: x:05
Sea travel: x:01
Does that help any?

Re: CantrSpy 2.8
Hmm, I thought I had fixed that, but perhaps there was another change on the server.

Re: CantrSpy 2.8
Okay, I have removed the Daylight Savings adjustment, as the server seems up to date in that respect now (which shifts all the timings during BST back by 1 hour).

Can't believe I've only just found this it's great... but! An optional beep would make it perfect for me!

That's why I've stuck with CantrSpy 1. It's got the beep, but less of the other features.

I restarted the process that manages the time in game, since it had died.

It is a testament to my laziness that this topic got to page 3.
CantrSpy 2.8.4
Linux users: unfortunately, Adobe has stopped supporting Adobe AIR for Linux, meaning that any any incompatibilies with AIR might be impossible to fix. However, I intend to retain support for Linux even if it means writing a version of CantrSpy in some other language. Updates pending.
If you would like to translate CantrSpy into a language that it does not yet have, please PM me.
