Airplane
We can drive on land, travel on water, but not in the air. Let us leave the earth down under and take of!
Idea: vehicle-airplanes.
Positive:
- very fast transporting and exploring
Negative:
- need landing strip and lots of fuel.
I think I dont have to explain which materials are needed.
First of all I think it would be good to make an montpeilier, an simple hot-air balloon.

the balloon would happen first.... at least I'd hope so... and would require "free movement" on land.
Also: This would require the ability to "dock" to land with locations without sea... would require that the balloon/airplane didn't know the difference from water or land... and a LOT of other programing "issues".

I don't think there are many programming issues at all. The interface would be exactly the same as with sailing, except that it should stop checking for borders. (So you can only dock on airstrips which function exactly like harbours.)

And the helicopter can wait - there are more primitive flying things to implement first, no?
Yeah, just like you guys did with land vehicles...

1. fuel consumption/building destroying/rot
2.Helicopter, other crazy stuffthat will never be implemented.
How does this sound?
edit:Order of things to implement to the game.

Re: Airplane
Now that fuel consumption is already implemented, can we discuss implementation of flying vehicles?
I do not speak of aircraft or spacecraft, but balloons and zeppelins.

Re: Airplane
oh, zeppelins... *drolls* hell yeah for that!
But what would happen if the fuel runs out? 'We will all die' thing? It's the only one that seems reasonable to me.
