Sloop Modifications
Okay, so there are at this time, a few things wrong with Cantr sloops. For one, you can't build cabins or cargo hold of any kind on board of them, where in real life, even the smallest ones can at least accomodate a small cabin. Second, Cantr sloops can dock to land, where in real life, you can't. Well, technically you can, but that's usually on accident that it happens, and it's difficult to get it back in the water, especially if you did it at high tide, and it's above the high tide line...
So those are my two changes I want for sloops. And I do hope that this will be my first suggestion that gets implemented...

A pity, becase Sloop is a good vehicle name.
Ironic that you were considering changing the roads vehicles could use, but this is too drastic. I think it's on the same scale as the road vehicle changes, and the cabins are still new so changes have less of an impact.

I'm not sure the docking to land capability should be changed because it's been that way a long time and there are probably a lot of problems that would come with it. The same arguments used in changing vehicle road types can be applied to that.
I do agree they should be able to support a small cabin, because a small cabin only holds like 2 people anyway, so I don't see how it's that big of a threat. A small threat, yes, but not so much as to allow a lot of power... at least I don't think.

If they were smart, they would have build a dinghy or something in addition to their sloop and have that to land with. But I imagine most didn't...

Perhaps a new project could be implemented at the same time: Waving for help

Because a sloop doesn't require a dinghy to land with...
They would have only needed/wanted them to dock to other ships that their sloop couldn't dock to. Nothing unsmart about it: the sloop docks to land and is faster without a dinghy docked to it. No need to slow it down if you have no intentions of using the dinghy.

Thus my saying "But I imagine most didn't."

The same solution I thought of as well.
