Wouldn't it be nice if you could rename envelopes? Possibly with the possibility to set the name to editable/uneditable as with notes.

Agreed. Lots of people are complaining about not being able to destroy notes (do not post about it again on this thread now! 
) but envelopes are truly with you forever like a holiday fruit cake or that campfire smell after a week in the mountains.

I see no need to until the destruction of notes (which the destruction of envelopes) will come as well.
Open the envelope, write a new one, put the old envelope in your personal rubbish envelope and put the notes in the new envelope....... simple...... Useless programming time which fills up Flyspray.
