Too weak to even drag a note.

Postby Doug R. » Tue Nov 15, 2005 2:39 pm

I have a character that at full strength is too weak to drag a note (65%). Surley this is unrealistic? I understand that a wounded character might be too weak, but at full strength? How does he even do anything if he is too weak to stick a note under a door?

This character is so utterly useless (I haven't even found an activity he is better than "skilled" at) that if it weren't for the social/political advancement opportunities in the place he spawed, I would have starved him on the road.

Familiar thing, I also have at least one character who can't drag notes. Fortunately she doesn't have much need for doing it but if she'd for example get locked up, it would be nice if she could drag notes like most other people. I think the problem might be with notes being weightless. So you might have multiplying or dividing with 0 somewhere in the code.

Strength is one factor in how much of an activity you can do. There's also tiredness and hunger.

And don't forget there is a dragging bug, but as the percent is under 100%, I don't think it's a factor here.
Reality was never my strong point.

Well, sucks to be him, then. Seems like you could RP him as a cripple or something.

Try stopping the dragging and trying again (if you haven't already). Sometimes that works.

That only works if the problem is that your dragging percentage is over 100%, but the drag won't complete. It won't make a difference if you're too weak to get the percentage to 100%.

I like to picture him as a young version of Mr. Burns from the Simpsons.

lol i don't see how anything can be a factor in dragging a note, realisticly a character would hafta be such a gimp it can't be described... i've had this happen before and a char had it happen today, who can't drag a note really? lol
