folding chairs

Postby colonel » Tue Jun 07, 2005 7:55 pm

Ha ha, hey this would be cool, cause the person could carry them with them and use them when they are tired where ever they are, except on a path of course but hey, what do you think?

And
...
You could hit animals and people with them!

Haha! And we could start our own Cantr Wrestling Federation!

But this would be a nice addition. It would probably be made out of wood, with some iron for the joints.

You see a woman in her twenties put up a deck chair.
You see a deckchair collapse.
You see a woman in her twenties put up a deck chair.
You see a deckchair collapse.
A woman in her twenties says "grrr"
You see a man in his twenties put up a deckchair.
You see a man in his twenties sit in a deckchair.
A woman in her twenties says "That's so unfair!"

Seriously, though, I can see how it would be useful to have some kind of portable resting thingy, even if it's quite big and awkward so you can't carry much else.

Nice idea!

What about those old chairs for nightguard with just one leg? If they fell asleep they'd fall over? It could be made out of all wood.

Here is what I found out so far. Now I am not sure if this helps any but hey...

Wooden folding chairs:

Dimensions:
15" x 17.5" x 30.5" Pad Size: 14" x 12.5" x 1/4"
Weight: 12 lbs. each

And they are very comfortable. HA HA HA!

You could even have those fancy folding fabric chairs in the bags. Easy and convenient to carry around, and light as well.

Yeah, wooden pegs would work.

And the better the fabric or something, the more you rest when you sit on it.

How bout a foldable chair made of tin and solder? :P

I just want to watch you all whine, thinking "USE THE SOLDERING IRON? THAT'S SO HARD TO MAKE!"

Should be different types... the easily built ones that aren't as effective for resting and the more difficult ones to make that are more effective... Even the Sims get different positive effects from one chair to another... Why limit ourselves to just one type of portable chair? Could even have a portable throne... well.. maybe not, but anyhoo... :P

I don't see why not. I happen to know someone who builds such things for real, entirely out of wood, with wooden pegs that come out for transporting it flat-pack style, and go in to hold it together while in use.
